Carlos Tevez - the new Paul Dickov

Totally disagree the new Paul Dickov is undoubtibly Bellers without any question of doubt

He's not an automatic starter for me and I could have scored that sitter he missed to win the game

Tevez. (Tin hats already on)

Tin Hat securely fastened...So here I go.

The facts show that in the first 5 games, we won 4, I cant remember Tevez playing in any of those 5 games. Now, this is not me stating that Tevez is not a good player, because he is a fantastic player and well worth the money we payed for him. But, Ireland has not started the last couple of games up until yesterday for a few weeks, and I believe this is to accomodate Tevez.

It does not work! Ireland, SWP, Tevez, Bellamy, Petrov, they can't all start, and on current form, Tevez should not be starting. Ireland should.

Some people on here have asked the questions, "Is Highes tactically inept", "Is there behind the scenes control", "Is Hughes being pressured by the chairman to play Tevez".

If you were there yesterday, you will have seen that Tevez, was way off form. He was very poor in front of goal, and lost the ball a lot. Unless you look through extremely tinted blue specs, then you'll agree with me.
When Tevez is on form he's brilliant, he has been brilliant on occasions this season, but he shouldnt be battling for a place with Ireland, it should be with SWP. Ireland and Barry did not dominatew midfield yesterday, and that needs to be assessed but in the second half, both seemed more motivated and it showed.

Tevez needs to up his act, he was poor yesterday. Him or SWP?
Discuss........

Re: Tevez. (Tin hats already on)

I'd have him or SWP on the right of a front 3.

Didn't think he was too bad yesterday either, just a bit off in front of goal.

ireland is in a better vain of form than tevez ? im not sure i agree, i think tevez did a good job yesterday tbh and i think irelands hit the brick wall fitness wise because of his summer work

Replace SWP with Tevez, nonsense Tevez is far too slow. Play him as a goal pocher? His shooting was awful yesterday. How many shots did he have? Four as I recall. One blasted into orbit, one hit his foot and ballooned over the bar(open goal) Two were scuffed straight at the goalie. Sorry other than his work rate I do not think he has added anything to the team in fact other than the scum game I think he has taken us backwards. Why doesn't Hughes give Weiss a chance? Over both SWP and Tevez? Yesterdays game was awful like the Birmingham and Fulham game I thought those sort of games were long gone. Only very brief flashes of good passing football.

Some people on this website have to be the most fickle fans in football.

Carlos Tevez shit? Good god. A few years ago we were signing past it players looking a pay day, now we've signed Tevez, Adebayor etc and the manager starts getting flack for daring to play them!

He doesnt fit brilliantly in the tactics right now, because the tactics arent good in the first place. Take a look at his style of play, getting the ball into the box himself and laying it off, quite hard to do that when SWP does the same thing.

Tactics should change depending on the opposition but Hughes has kept with a 442, and Tevez ends up clashing with other players who want to do the same thing when in the box.

My only gripe is he takes too many long range shots and they dont hit the target, but lets remember he did the same against us and scored, and Bellamy does the same thing. They're good now and again, if it doesnt waste possible chances. Other than that he's a top player and will be excellent for us. I'm not expecting goals gallore, I'm expecing work rate, grit and a player that can change a match. That is Carlos Tevez.

The problem is not Carlos Tevez, the problem is having too many attacking options and it wont allow us to gel properly to win matches we should be winning. Barry, Ireland, Johnson, SWP, Petrov, Adebayor, Bellamy, Tevez, RSC, and kids.
