Suarez will definitely not be staying in England.

His character assassination has now been fully completed by the media here. Not just the gutter press like The Sun, Mirror, Star, Mail but also the so called heavyweights like the Times, Telegraph, Independent and Ugnadiar.

so the diving, biting, racism etc did not merit the media giving him plenty of shit? The press in this country are scum, but this guy deserves all they have given to him

New 2 year deal ?

Would love this to happen. You don`t find too many players of the calibre of our Carlos going cheaply,so be far more beneficial to us by giving him this additional contract.

His wages of 200,000+ a week will hit us

If he does sign the extension then it would be a bonus but it is getting him to agree that is the sticking point.

Lets say we got offered 12.5m a he is on 12.5m pa wages then that effectively gives us the choice do we spend 25m to have tevez for a year or not.

Now bearing in mind there is a 50% chance he will be great and a 50% chance he will be AWOL, fat, in prison, in Spain or Argentina you could say that you are paying 25m for a 50% chance of having a great tevez!

That would be madness utter madness as he won't be first choice - get shot as we should have done 2 years ago anything else would be economically stupid . If he is to stay he has to sign a new contract on less money!

Personally I hope we get rid and we should have done the summer before Munich
He's been a great player for us, but his striking game isn't the same.

Always a great attitude on the pitch, but he just doesn't look like scoring any more. Still a good player as a midfielder.
Not another midfielder [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
Which is why I hope he goes. No use as a striker, and we don't need another midfielder

Would be big mistake if his contract is extended unless it's on much lower wages ad plus unless there is nobody really interested to buy him.

It's Isco who has to take his role if he's coming, it's perfect time to sell him.

I like Tevez but deep down I feel this post is probably spot on.

Tevez is a major player for us and I really hope he extends his stay by another 2 years............... Hopefully Jason Burt has got this right!

Tevez potentially being offered an extension, Dzeko potentially staying - can anyone remember the post which was about a tweet in Arabic which said that MP wanted both of these things and which thread was it in?

Problem with this is why would Carlos sign such a deal?

Assuming he's on the reported £198k per week, that's approx £10mil for the year. If we offered him a year's extension but at a reduced wage, say £125k per week then the 2 year deal would amount to approx £12mil for 2 years. Can't really see Kia advising his client to stitch himself up for a further year for effectively only £2mil. Just wouldn't make sense.

I'd love Carlos to stay for another year but if we can get £10mil for him and therefore free up £20mil including wages then it's a no-brainer to let him go.
