Fail to see how you can compare Tévez's situation with van Persie's.
RvP scored 59 goals in his final two seasons at Arsenal. 81 games.
Tévez has scored 21 goals in his last two seasons. Even substituting 2010/11 for 2011/12, he still only manages a total of 40 goals. In 81 games.
Add to that Tévez's wages which also play a factor.
I do agree though that €11m, if true, would be low. But he's not worth the money some are suggesting.

Arguably, regarding RVP, at the time given injuries both have seen better days, like you said.

Yet we get £9m and Arsenal got £22m...
If you factor in the fact RVP openly said he wanted to leave it's even worse.
Don't be silly, rvp has, including this year, been the stand out striker in the prem for 3 years, was on 100k a week and shown tremendous loyalty to his club, tevez has been a twat and with that it deflates his value- it's called upward and downward curve, tevez is the 2nd one!
You mean the player who was injury ridden throughout his Arsenal career yet the club persisted and stuck by him, to only say he's not signing a new contract and wants to leave off the back of one stand out season to one of their biggest rivals?
Before he had been sold, Tevez and RVP each had one season of 30+ goals. Yet, Tevez's next best consisted of 29 and 23 and RVP's consisted of 22 and 20.
RVP carried Arsenal as much as Carlos carried us in the past.
£9m for for a player of Tevez's standards is a steal, especially given the comparison.
I'm merely pointing out that the criteria that you used to justify £9m for Tevez wasn't exactly correct.

Anyone who defends this is biased.
Go on youtube and pull up a compilation of Tevez's skils and goals. Just pretend he doesn't play for us and watch a few.
Then tell me how much you'd value him, even in the last year of his contract.
But we fawn over players that have half the talent at twice the orice everyday.
And yet we justify it by saying he's lost it or he's on a downward spiral...bullshit

Tevez was the third most wasteful striker in the entire league last season. How is that not deterioration compared to a few years ago when he carried us on his back? 13% or 15% (I forget) of chances converted.

I don't think you can say his game has deteriorated too much, if he's that bad then how did he to come second in the player of the year vote?
Our game has changed completely since we remember Carlos in his 'pomp', back then Tevez WAS the main man, he was the outlet ball, he held it up, everything went through Carlos and he played that role brilliantly, it was a time thou when City were happier to sit back, play more of the game in our half and hit on the counter, relying on Tevez' ability to harrang and pressure the defenders.
With the players we bought in after the cup win, the addition of Sergio and Mancini releasing the shackles somewhat then Tevezs main attributes were gonna be negated to a degree. His hold up play wasn't as needed as generally we play higher up the pitch and the emphasis is more on moving the ball quickly and slicker than previously.
Granted, he didn't do himself many favours with the Munich incident but his return to the team was the catalyst for the run to the championship.
I'm extremely positive that the powers that be known what they are doing and if we can get €11 million then at least we are getting some return.
For the huge part Carlos has played in helping us to where we are today I have nothing but thanks to him for that
