I think its a good deal to be honest. there wont be a host of offers people are wise to the stunts he pulled, and his oily agent, and his wage demands and of course he can go for nowt next year. if he loved us as some of us love him he would have wanted an extension... he doesnt tells us all we need to know. i am glad he came to us , he has been for the most part awesome on the pitch and not so marvellous off it at times. Time to move on .. onwards and upwards.

Sums it up pretty well. He seems to have lost his lethal touch with that yard of pace. We are seeing Carlos evolve into more of an attacking mid. and for the money we are freeing up we can get an Isco or Thiago type....a very exciting player for the future.

Lets say we got offered 12.5m a he is on 12.5m pa wages then that effectively gives us the choice do we spend 25m to have tevez for a year or not.

Now bearing in mind there is a 50% chance he will be great and a 50% chance he will be AWOL, fat, in prison, in Spain or Argentina you could say that you are paying 25m for a 50% chance of having a great tevez!

That would be madness utter madness as he won't be first choice - get shot as we should have done 2 years ago anything else would be economically stupid . If he is to stay he has to sign a new contract on less money!

Personally I hope we get rid and we should have done the summer before Munich

12-15m? Madness he's worth at least 20m but we need to keep him he is quality and works his backside off.

Pellegrini likes him anyway so I think he'll stay.

The only deal I'd do with the dippers would be a swap for Suarez but neither player would want that so it's pointless. Suarez wants out of England and Tevez would want a decent club not one on it's arse.

he only got 1 year left on his contract hence the selling price will be lower.

Nasri who is not half as good as Tevez was sold for 24m when he has one year left on his contract !

There was competition to sign Nasri from all over Europe... And specially from our neighbors. So we had to pay that price to get him and not allow United their target. Let's remember we won the league that season.

Tevez is not as wanted in Eruope right now because of his wages and also his instability...

Was told about 10 days ago that Carlitos was leaving and his destination was either Madrid or Turin. The news breaking late last night about Atletico agreeing 13m Euro fee with Sevilla for Negredo all makes sense now. Fair play to Atletico for not being held to ransom by Kia. Once again Carlitos has been sold to the highest bidder. Nothing more than a piece of meat. Wouldn't want him as Godparent to my kids.
Enjoy Turin Carlitos & thanks for giving 100% when on the pitch.

Gutted!! Still the best striker at the club, by a country mile, imo.
Appauling piece of business if true.

Particularly as we, now, look like missing out on cavani

Wouldnt have got anywhere near the title in 2012 if it hadn't been for his contributions against Chelsea, Norwich, Wolves & Newcastle, toward the back end of that season.

What next?. Bentner in part exchange FFS!! :-(

I think your opinion is wrong. Sergio is better and will get better still.
I don't dispute that Sergio will eventually become a better player, than Carlos, for one minute stony mate. (Whether he'll still be here, in 2 or 3 years, when that happens, I very much doubt) .

My immediate concern with Sergio, however, is his recent injury record. Need quality cover now, just in case. (and that certainly ain't Edin imo)

^^^ buy suarez get the club to tell him hes loved give him a cuddle and unleash him with kun fucking unstoppable.

I would love Suarez, him and Cavani are the only two available strikers who will improve our team, too many on here seem to hate him though.

I know he can be a bad apple, but we would be mad to turn down a player Suarez's quality for 40m.. Better value than Cavani's 53m buyout fee.

Pretty much identical goal scoring record as well for last season.

Well if Real Madrid fail with their bid where will he go?

It's a myth all this media rubbish he is coming out with, he wants CL football and a decent pay rise, but he has been too worshipped at Liverpool to say so and doesn't want to upset his fans.

Huge cop out this media lark in my opinion.

+ 1

Suarez will definitely not be staying in England.

His character assassination has now been fully completed by the media here. Not just the gutter press like The Sun, Mirror, Star, Mail but also the so called heavyweights like the Times, Telegraph, Independent and Ugnadiar.
