I hope we get rid of him and I think we'll be better off without him.

(a) Financially: If we don't extend his contract, we pay a very large salary for the year and lose any money we could get this summer. If we do extend his contract, it's unlikely to be for less money than he's currently on, and for the money we pay him, we could probably pay 2 (or even 3) top players under the new wage structure. However, there's no real reason for him to extend anyway, as he'll command a bigger salary next year if he's free (at this point, he may not care so much about the money, but I know someone who does...).

(b) On the Field: There's no doubt he's a great player who has won quite a few games for us during his time here. However, for me he's not the guy for a very top-level club. Ask Ferguson, ask Sabella. He's great when there's no one else who's gonna win the game for you, but I don't think he's a great team player most of the time. His instinct is to do it on his own, and he's pretty good at that. He saved West Ham almost single-handed, but at a team with so many more options, I don't think his decision-making is always the best. He ought to be at a second-tier club like Everton or Sparky's City, where he really is the best bet to win the game. As far as I'm concerned, the way he plays makes him look good, but at the expense of the team. Which is ironic, since his high work-rate is often touted as evidence that he's the ultimate team-player.

There's no way anyone could possibly disagree with that...

basically agreed mate. Carlos was and is a big part of where he have got to, but he is not the future unfortunately - a bit too selfish, too much baggage, too expensive to be a squad player, and if what is said is true he would also cost an additional £6M bonus if he sees out his contract (others have said this is not true though)

My mate who worked at City last week told me a few of the staff (not high-up ones) he spoke to said that a lot of the club's board do not like Tevez and that Tevez feels as though he is going to be forced out of the club (He might want to leave anyway, but he still wants to have a new contract as an option) - if true, I can't have any sympathy for him as much as I like him.

This did not come from the Spanish kid or Txiki so take this information with a huge pinch of salt, especially considering I've read similar stuff in the Daily Mirror!

He dumped on us from a great height and even though he has redeemed himself a bit, we still don't trust him a great deal. It is better we should cash in on him.

Two transfer requests. Speaks of being here as he's forced due to 'having a contract with City'. Hardly loves being in Manchester. I hope he stays but only of he takes a cut in wages like he will for Milan or Juventus etc.

Whole pic has been distorted. Yaya and Aguerro both a lot bigger. So if they were altering it remove Tevez why not just move the two across or put someone else there. Seems like they want you to notice it.

Yet the e-mail sent out today to order new kit ready for the first fixture had Tevez as the lead picture.
However the web site had a Tevez picture too but that has been changed.
Edit - no - it is still there in the story "get your kit on for the new season"

I simply don't know where my head is regarding Carlos, yes his head went a couple of years ago but came back and played an enormous part in our title win, he simply and obviously does not enjoy Manchester, though on the pitch he never gives less than 100%, I can't voice an opinion on whether I would be happy to see him go but personally I believe he will leave us and as long as we replace and improve then so be it..

He has been great and helped us get to the top, however he is not the future and he is on massive wages. He wants a short contract to walk out for free at the end of it. I would let go now and say thanks for the memories.

To be honest, I don't give a fuck about him. He didn't care for us in Munich, and whatever he did in the title run in, he owed. If he goes, he goes, if he he stays, so be it.

Yeah fare point, am probably a bit too forgiving having waited all my life bar 3 years to win a title... We will see

The mirror are reporting that he's on his way to Milan for £10m. Get the money in now and invest it in other areas of the team. Good deal for City and a good deal for Tevez, if it happens. He did and has done a lot of good things for us, but he's also acted and behaved like a complete cock too, so in the words of a dragon "sorry Carlos I'm out".

Juventus have revived interest in Aleksandar Kolarov at Manchester City.

The Italians have already discussed a £9million move for his City teammate Carlos Tevez.

Juventus, who won last season's Serie A title by nine points ahead of runners-up Napoli, see utility player Kolarov as a perfect addition to give their squad strength in depth.

Tevez has been a long-term target for the Italian giants, and despite scoring 17 goals for the Premier League runners-up last term questions still remain over his happiness to stay at the club.

Serbian Kolarov made 32 appearances for City last season, netting six goals.

I was waiting with you pal, no player is bigger than the club. The players we are signing now appear to want to play for us, rather than wanting the money. Carlos comes from that era unfortunately, and I think he knows that he needs us more than we need him.

Whats the script with his CS? Can he move whilst he has some outstanding or does he have to get it all done? 200 hours takes a good while to get done.

Been asked so many times but no one seems to be able to answer.

I'd bite their hands off at £9m for Tevez plus a years supply of lawn food for Kolarov

Do you really think they'll stop him leaving the country just because of community service ? He'll move and everyone will just forget about the CS
