I don't think the negativity is towards Cole particularly; just that he would not dislodge Adebayor by a long shot.

People are allowed their opinion and if they don't think Cole is that good then thats up to them. I think he's a decent player but wouldn't call him a fantastic addition to our squad. He's improved during his time at West Ham and but he's not a great goalscorer, isn't really that quick and doesn't make that many goals. For a team who wants to be playing champions leauge football year after year i think we can do better although i agree he's better than RSC, Cacedio etc.

I reckon we can get better players than Carlton Cole

I wouldn't say he was 'far' better than RSC. I think RSC is a good player, who is trying to get fit. I know how people feel he is 'robbing' the club, as he is injured, but i doubt very much, he like being on the treatment table rather than the pitch. Last time he got a proper run out, with a game or so behind him, was sunderland, and the lad bagged 2.

RSC is a good player, and is getting the same treatment Lescott got earlier on in the season. When he beds in and gets fit, he will be a good buy.

Cole is a good player, has come on leaps and bounds in the last couple of seasons.

But, is he > Adebayor? Dont think so blue.

Everybody: FORGET RSC.

He never has been fit, he's not fit now and will never be fit. He had one flash in the pan season at a club where staying in the Premier league is their only goal.

I'm sure he'll get the odd goal, he may even get an important one, but he'll never a reliable option because he will never be fit. RSC = Benjani in my book.

I think Carlton Cole is a good suggestion and he would certainly be an option as our backup striker but he is not better than Ade. Someone has also mentioned Gourcuff, deffo worth a look at. There must be a few others at Bordeaux 'n all...

He's the best striker a club in our position is ever going to get.

You can shove Carlton Cole right up your arse with fucking Marcus Bent and any other bag of wank striker you care to try to suggest is better than Ade.
