Carol Thatcher and the racist remark

In college ive got an australian mate and pakistani classmate. The problem arises when we go to call them... we call the oz "aussie" and the teachers never have a comment yet when you mention "paki" we get told to watch what we are saying. Can someone explain the difference ?
On that note we have a library (obviously) which sometimes has senior staff meetings. Why is it that when we try to go in at these times "we" get turned away and the pakistani is allowed in ?
Why is the pakistani allowed to go through a corridor which has a teacher "guarding" it when exams are ongoing and we get told sorry boys you will have to go around the other way?
Finally, why is it that when we dont complete work etc. on time we get in trouble and the pakistani gets told dont worry just bring it in next lesson ?

Obviously he was on his own and you were in a group, therefore you will make noise talking whilst he clearly won't, christ you've turned a complete non event in to institutional racism, it really does worry me.

Because I don't want to be banned from the forum. It just highlights the double standards.

Confuses me all this business you know. A irish person would never refer to another as a p***y or a m**k but it is widely used. But a black person will call another black person a n****r and that be ok because they are using it together therefore the offence of the term is taken away, but otherwise it is still an offensive term. Same if a pakistani calls another a p**i.

Sorry if you feel that way mate I wasnt trying to come across racist at all and I apologise to anyone that is offended by my comments. Its just that I read earlier about aussie and paki so I thought i'd mention it.
Again sorry if it came across racist.
Just for the record I play sport with many asians, as you can see I have many nationalities in my school and my better half is mexican so I certainly wouldnt consider myself as racist

You've not offended mate me I've heard far worse, I just can't understand why you'd see this as an issue of race? I don't think I've ever been a victim of racial discrimination and I've lived in West Yorkshire for three years.

Just to go back to my original post mate I understand that it may have come across racist but again I didnt intend for itto. However, the problem is that when I mentioned him being allowed through and us turned away he was actually walking with us at the time. This then throws up the question why him and not us lol
I wont say anything else because I dont want to give the impression that im racist.

Are you 'pissedagain's' mate or are you just being deliberatley objectionable? The end of this thread is now nigh thanks to such bigoted nonsense as yours. If 'us Pakis' are involved in some mass conspiracy to undermine, suppress and eventually expel all master race specimens like you from this country, it's not going very well, is it? Why don't you try focusing on real issues such as how you are going to get a job/qualifications in a global recession, what should be done about war and poverty, and how will the planet survive from the ecological onslsught of humanity? But no, in your honour, for once I will repeat myself in a single thread and promise that my children and I will wear our 'The Pakis did it' t-shirts all weekend'. I'll even wear it at the match for you, if you like. Will that go some way to overcoming the massive injustice that 'your kind' has clearly suffered at the hands of the Pakis World Domination Party? Oh, and make sure you never get into a taxi with one of those bearded freaks, never eat curry and refuse to be seen by any doctor who isn't as Aryan as you. See how you get on.

This is the kind of response i feared.
Im sorry mate as i said earlier i did not intend to sound racist at all i was just reading someones earlier comment and it made me think of the situation in my college. Just for the record the pakistani lad is my mate and he doesnt care if we call him "paki" as he openly admits he does not find it offensive from his close friends. As a matter of fact me and him were working together on a project this morning so I would like to think that we are good friends :)

I APOLOGISE IF MY COMMENT CAME ACROSS RACIST BUT PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT IS EXACTLY NOT WHAT I AM.

Oh, I am surprised. This thread contains almost ever bigoted cliche that has ever been written. Your contributions of 'I have friends who are...' and 'I'm not racist but...' are clearly up there. Well done. You obviously went away, discussed it with your 'white friends' and decided it was a colour issue. You may be intelligent enough to know the difference but do your friends?

As a general point, why are so many of you desperate to be 'allowed' to use derogatory terms about other people. It's just plain weird.
