Carroll's ban upheld

It's a harsh red considering the minimal force in the swing and the reaction of Flores but plenty of softer red cards have been upheld, Carroll knew exactly what he was doing and West Ham are acting like a bunch of spoilt kids. Accept the ban and grow up, if it was someone else but Carroll I might have some sympathy.

A little contradictory this. "Carroll knew was he was doing" - namely violent conduct, but it was "a harsh red".

It's crystal clear just looking at Carroll's face that he intended to hit Flores in the face. The laws of the game only need intent not contact.

Just seen this and, much as I like West Ham, it's a deliberate swing of the arm and was always going to result in a sending off. The only thing the FA should be looking at is giving the Swansea player a retrospective fine for being a soft arse.

Were fighting for our lives in the premiership we have every right to challenge a case that could send us down. Webb gave Carroll a red because he got conned into thinking he smashed Chico in the face, when in fact he brushed his hair with minimal contact and force- Chico was doing worse 20 seconds before that. Pathetic decision and only proof of intent is minority saying ''yeh but look at his face'' - hope this gets turned around to send a message that cheaters do not prosper. Up the hammers

You're fighting the wrong battle Mark, one you are unlikely to win when a player commits a foul with intent .
You should turn your fire on BFS who has in collaboration with the Porn Kings have ruined the fine football club that is West Ham.

Yes, let's get angry at the owners preventing us from folding and the manager that got us promoted first time and top 10 first time back in the prem. They've saved this club from being a Leeds, Bolton, charlton etc , without have the unlimited money some of the top teams have. Big Sams claret n blue army

I can understand the hammers fans annoyance at the decision, but i think that anger should be aimed at Flores and not Webbs decision. Carroll clearly swings his arm to catch Flores, the fact he didnt hit him has nothing to do with it really. Red was justified, but the real issue is when are the FA going to start looking at all this play acting. That for me is the worst thing in football at the moment, Flores should be hung out to dry with at least a 5 match ban.

The thing is Carroll did catch Flores and it's hard to decide pain for someone else. I think he over exaggerated just like everybody else but to try and ban someone you can't just say it didn't look that painful to me
