CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

UEFA are simply no longer fit for purpose, be it because they are complicit in protecting the cartel (and we all know who they are), or just generally incompetent in the management of their own business and rules (which are likely to have been created to protect the cartel).
Time for a new euro league perhaps.
Never!

Whatever the limitations of UEFA, they are far better than anything likely to replace them.

The Euro League would be a self-pepetuation of the ‘European Royalty’ including clubs like Milan who ceased to be relevant years ago. There will be guaranteed places for the likes of Man United and Liverpool in perpetuity and I suspect no promotion and relegation. Even if promotion is allowed, you can bet that the financial rules will ensure that none of the ‘upstarts’ can survive.

They want a US-style closed shop like the NFL.

Maybe just maybe UEFA, The FA and the cartel will now think again before taking Our club on

We are the club who does things the correct way, with our own money, no debt and the best owner in the world

And as people now know we will not be bent over and lubed by self important bullies

Do one.....

Just sent this to the Times. Will achieve nothing, but feel better now.......

Good afternoon,

Your sport’s correspondent’s article published today at noon titled “Uefa weakened in battle against wealthy clubs....” was ignorant of the facts of the case against Manchester City, and was a disappointingly myopic take on the subject.

Time-barring was only one element that the CAS verdict referred to. More pressing was the fact that the allegations against Manchester City were in relation to matters that were the subject of an earlier investigation and punishment. But Mr Winter does not feel that this element is worthy of comment.

It is a tired trope to accuse Manchester City of benefiting from the wealth of the owners, having been fully compliant with the flawed FFP regulations since that time. I appreciate that the Times is a business, and your articles need to generate clicks from readers who will enjoy an article bashing the most successful English club over the last decade.

But Mr Winter’s supercilious tone, without acknowledging the facts of the case, leaves a bad taste. An apology would be too much to ask for, but I ask that you recommend to your Chief Football Writer that he bothers to investigate the facts of topics that he chooses to opine on. After all, that’s what journalists are supposed to do, isn’t it?

It’s funny reading the meltdown over social media of rival fans. They seem to think the fine is a reduced punishment. We’ve been exonerated and have been fined for not cooperating which we did when the UEFA investigator leaked the verdict before he’d even seen the clubs records

Well that puts the FA in a pickle, if we would have been found guilty, they could have had a field day with sanctions without fear, but now they have to deal with the Hateful Eight and their illegal formation, of course they are going to hide them but they can not if we go after them:)

This I hope the clubs make very clear if they do a statement and include details about the 1st time UEFA moved the goalposts after telling us were were fine
