CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

No need to talk to Der Spiegel when you get the information from Pinto - The alleged thief. (I say alleged because he just became the best place to leak information. It is more likely that Qatari state security did the hacking., )
Liverpool probably had access to all of our emails anyway, they probably shared them with UEFA years ago.

Who is this Dave Kitson? Didn't he play for Stoke a while back? How is he now such an expert on FFP and our case? Has he seen all the evidence ? Or is he just an opinionated nobody with some kind of axe to grind? I guess he hasn't got any experience in law, FFP, UEFA or CAS and like many struggle to comprehend the simple English in the Monday ruling by CAS.
He’s been trying to take over the running of the PFA. He’s managed to do something I thought impossible and make Gordon Taylor look better..

I think we should keep our powder dry and target the bigger players. The BBC (especially Dan Roan) has done a lot damage to City with a lot of inaccurate and defamatory stories, so has the Guardian, and some of the tabloids at different stages. Some of these organisations have left themselves wide open for action, others have been smarter. A few selective legal actions would be helpful. We could donate any damages won to local charities in Manchester or even pledge to double any amount awarded from our own coffers. That's not to say we shouldn't send a warning legal letter to the Kitsons of this world. We need to get rid of our image as a "soft touch."

I think the biggest problem with the press/media is their lack of accountability – remember years ago, not long after the Sheikh took over, I think it was the Sun that ran an article about him giving players and staff very expensive gold watches. This was later proven to be an outright lie... they had to print a retraction... however, this consisted of a 1cm square box with 6pt type hidden away next to the classifieds – if you didn't look for it, you wouldn't find it... and there in lies the problem. They report absolute bollocks... full back page stories, sometimes stories that fill 2-4 pages... you're average, brain dead opposition fan will read this and believe every word – if the story is proven to be a lie, they won't see the teeny tiny retraction hidden away, so to them it's still true, and no amount of facts we throw at them will change their mind because they saw it in bright colours on the back page of the newspaper – or on Sky with it's lovely graphics!

City execs did NOT know the verdict when they drove to work on Monday.

They were confident, they were very hopeful, but they were sweating like the rest of us.

That is absolutely concrete.
This always looked the most likely situation given the information available on the CAS website.

The balls on them to do that.

They could have easily excepted a reduced sentence deal instead of going to CAS.

They must feel pretty confident now about the future.

Agreed sir, bigger fish to fry first.

Yeah it was already posted that City found out at 8 a.m.

As I have said previously, the statement of applicable law / regulations released the previous week to both parties and dissected by our lawyers meant it would have been a huge suprise if we had not been aquited from the main charges.
