CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Cant see other clubs being mentioned. The case was about us.

It'd be like someone being on trial for burglary and the judge allowing the defendant to bring up intelligence about a load of shoplifters, as part of his defence.
City had claimed the UEFA case was prejudicial. I would imagine that UEFA's investigatory process will have been scrutinised and if City had evidence of interaction between rival clubs, other parties, and UEFA, I think that would be relevant.

There’s absolutely no ‘think’ about it. It’s completely relevant.

Yves Leterme come out of this saga with his reputation diminished and he may well have lawyers trying to affect the publication. I can see UEFA’s governance being undermined more by the full ruling than say concerns about other football clubs with ex leaders involved in the investigation.

People forget about the letter that was sent to CAS, That’s bound to get a mention and we’ll find out exactly what those fuckers said

I think if it says anything about 'that' letter it will just refer to representations made by third parties but we all know what that refers to..

I don't expect it to say bugger all about 'that' letter though as of no relevance and was only sent to apply further pressure to the decision making process. That's my take on it anyway.

A good lawyer could push it as proof of a conspiracy against us

If that were the case, why find us guilty of non cooperation?

Because of the UEFA leaks, we didn’t cooperate. We had good reason but according to a neutral organisation like CAS we were in the wrong - so a reduced fine was applied.
Only an assumption but I really don’t think CAS will vilify any other clubs as it’s a UEFA v MCFC issue but there’s possibly lots of criticism of UEFA that UEFA are finding difficult to allow into the public domain.
I just can’t see CAS allowing this to be a vehicle for City to name & shame other European clubs or officials . But it would be amazing if something did come out of all this.
I think City will just want to draw a line & move on
