CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

Uefa statement

Uefa takes note of the decision taken by the Court of Arbitration for Sport to reduce the sanction imposed on Manchester City FC by Uefa’s independent Club Financial Control Body for alleged breaches of the Uefa Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play regulations.

Uefa notes that the Cas panel found that there was insufficient conclusive evidence to uphold all of the CFCB’s conclusions in this specific case and that many of the alleged breaches were time-barred due to the five-year time period foreseen in the Uefa regulations.

Over the last few years, Financial Fair Play has played a significant role in protecting clubs and helping them become financially sustainable and Uefa and ECA [European Club Association] remain committed to its principles.

Serves them right for waiting til? The day we won the treble then tried to rush it

Congrats to @projectriver for the info and calling it correctly with the time barring and how it will play out. Still journalists being as stupid as anything with their takes. We have been punished previously for the old stuff and there's no evidence of anything new since then.

You’re giving people too much credit. Do you really think deeply bitter fans of other rival clubs are going to think like that? Despite what the ruling says, we’re guilty and have somehow bought our way out of trouble in the eyes of everyone else. I’m personally not even going to attempt to correct them but will instead embrace their thinking any simply laugh at them
I accept what you say, but that doesn't and shouldn't detract from the truth. Rivals fans especially Livarpool and the rags will hate us regardless.

For not sucking UEFA dick....

Ah well, it will help pay their legal costs.
