CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

As I recall wasn't the UEFA investigation limited to the time period 2012 to 2016, the first two years subsequently became time barred?
If the recent MEN report is correct the Premier League rules are subject to to UK law which imposes a six year time deadline from the date of an alleged breach which would now mean no alleged offences prior to July 2015 can be taken into account?
On that basis the PL investigation would appear to have a very narrow time frame left.

Yup and City got jumped on by Uefa in 2014, I don’t think the management at the top of the club would be doing anything to agitate Uefa any further. Nothing hacked by Pinto even references anything that point forward.

Do you think that the DM have big financial problems that may allegedly be solved by payments to them by a certain group of G14 plus others to allow this to be published?
They are paid perhaps by extra click bait money and their own need for rapid investment delayed until the next scoop from their choice from journalistic ranks.
DMG isn't in a difficult financial position. Lord Rothermere is reportedly preparing an 810mill bid to take the group private. That figure appears to be very much on the low side according to the financial press.

DMG might be a pile of shite but it is financially secure.

So basically we are getting a united media spouting lies and half truths that even a biased PL will see as another UEFA case.
What's new?
We are possibly about to break our transfer record twice in the coming days, yet what will be the continuing headlines, City cheating that's what!

We have been looking for a new shirt sponsor deal for some time, so far we don't have it, I wonder why?, which company would want to be associated with these constant slurs, whoever false?

The time past long ago for the club to put a stop to this once and for all.

It is damaging us, without a doubt, and it SHOULD be stopped and quickly by the club.

I broadly agree about timing. The last thing you want to do is "give a negative story legs" and prolong it. The biggest problem which worries me is the impact on our fans and potential sponsors. This negative "corruption claim" has stuck with us for ten years now. I believe it has certainly had an impact on our reputation and slowed the growth of our fanbase.
Just at a time when football is emerging from the Covid crisis and we need to get some of our fans back in the ground, and sell season tickets and sponsorships, we are under attack again. It is damaging our reputation and not just here. For example the CFG New York City stadium plan was undermined by opposition from human rights activists who don't like the politics of Abu Dhabi. There is a bigger picture here.
The least we should do is rebut the false claims for a starter. The most absurd of today's stories asks the question: "How can City's commercial income be £600m higher than other big six clubs in the last 10 years." We have won five Premier Leagues in that period.
This story hasn’t picked up any traction anywhere else. Probably because it’s sensationalist nonsense with nothing in it that wasn’t already in the public domain.

The idea that the PL would enlist the help of the man that actually stole the emails in the first place ( that is likely to be back in prison later this year ) is fantasy which only Harris could believe.

Best thing City could do is exactly what the rest of the media are doing - ignore it.

There won’t be another mention of it tomorrow.

how desperate are united in wanting to win the title (washing your dirty knickers in public)
the rag infested media are jumping all over this knowing a striker of a harry kane will give manchester city another 5 years of titles. they want a transfer embargo put on manchester city by the premier league

i can smell their fear already and with another panic buy sancho now adds utd forwards to about 7
lets try and push media into reporting the punishment united have had for the riots ? breaking into a covid-19 safe stadium and having to replay the game. plus the involvement of utd staff and even dare i say skysports had a hand in it

The mail clearly invested a decent slug of dosh fighting to get a barrister into court. They have to cover their costs and probably the only way is to sensationalise this and garner millions of clicks.

Not true, it's getting picked up everywhere, that's the whole point of it.

The timing is crude in the extreme, as said earlier, we may well be about to break our transfer record twice.

This is character assassination's at it's finest.
