Has anyone thought that may be he has gone Italy but not got Cavani.... ?

Maybe we're off the mark. We know he is going Italy and we are guessing Naples, but it doesn't add up with the time diff Rammy mentioned ... hence we are trying to put 2 and 2 together and it doesnt fit.

If Marwood has gone Italy, he could be there for another Italian player we are working on?
Marwood will be at home with his feet up after taking 3-4 weeks to negotiate the £6.2 million transfer of Sinclair.
That is just comedy gold lol.

dzeko is bobbins. lost count of the amount of chances he misses. balotelli, turns up when he can be arsed. did he play today? can turn it on aka vs germany in the euros but can also just go missing. dont trust those two

Dzeko - turned up at the last match of the season to score the equaliser that allowed us to win the league. Same again for the Southampton match last week.

Balotelli - Turned up at the last match of the season to provide the assist that allowed Sergio to score the goal that brought the League to City for the first time in 44 years.

Both have done us proud, I reckon !

sorry, but you cant just run along with that tag. yes, dzeko scored a vital goal that game, but he misses far too many chances in games. so frustrating. balotelli has huge talent but you just dont know what you're going to get. my opinion anyway.

Yes he missed chances sometimes (and takes them sometimes) - that's not the same as being "bobbins". For me, I'll support him rather than slag him off.

-- Mon Aug 27, 2012 1:04 am --

That no longer matters. We need new toys & if we don't get them, we will scratch & scream until mummy changes her mind & if she doesn't, we will tell everyone how mean she is.

It's amazing how loyalty to our own players (even when they have a bad match) seems to be a thing of the past. 3 games ago Dzeko was a hero - now he is "bobbins" "shite" and all sorts of other knee jerk descriptions !

That's just not true though. Throughout last season many were critical of Dzeko's ability to play within our system and Balotelli's attitude/effort. You might not agree with them but it's hardly a knee jerk reaction based on one poor game.

Personally I find them both inconsistent (Edin less so than Mario) and a few levels behind Aguero and Tevez in terms of ability but it would be impossible to keep 4 absolutely top drawer strikers happy.

I very much doubt Cavani will come this window though, so I can't see either leaving.

It is a pity he missed that late chance.

Still confused by this striker thing, we have 4 of the best already, it´s our strongest position. There´s not another club in the world with the depth of strikers we have, it´s just not the position we need to strengthen.

Dzeko will always, always score goals for us for as long as we have him. He has great movement and positional sense and just a knack for knowing where to be. Granted his touch and control lets him down sometimes in the build up play, but fuck, he´s not bad for a guy whose basically our 4th choice striker. Sure Cavani is probably a better all round player, or at least looks it in Serie A, but my point is, is he really that much better to make it wothwhile spending a lot of time, effort and money in bringing him in? Also it seems that he plays a lot more like Tevez than Dzeko, for me it would reduce the variety we had in attack as well.

Chasing these star strikers in complicated deals just seems like a distraction from where we really need to improve. I mean today, when a pretty average Liverpool side pressed us hard and fast in midfield and defence, we couldn´t keep the ball. Swansea did the same under Rodgers when they beat us. It doesn´t give me much hope for if we face someone like Barca who are absolute masters at that.

Well said mate! He's up there with Dickov for that alone!

Re: Cavani. (cont)

would love to see Cavani play as part of our attacking quartet. but as has been said, unless someone goes its a no-no!!

with regard to Dzeko, he is a million miles away from 'Bobbins', given the right service in the right set up he will be prolific. unfortunately he has to grab his chances when they come for city and he doesnt do it enough. the muppets who are calling Balo and Dzeko are expecting the same miracles that happened against QPR every week, it just wont happen like that, even Cavani will mess up, same as all players do.

i have decided to set up in business selling chill pills, i will make a fortune on here!!! get me at www.chillpillsformuppettstressheads.com :)
