Cavani (continued)

Where is Edinson Cavani going to end up? On Napoli: “I hope to stay here for a long time. Naples has given me so much and that is why I am so happy here." On the prospect of linking up with Manchester City star, and apparent AC Milan target, Mario Balotelli: "I would certainly love to play alongside him. He is a champion and has proved that." His dad on Real Madrid in a Marca TV interview: "Madrid would be the ideal club for Cavani. Since he was a boy he has always had eyes for Real." In summary, it's hard to say.

Priced himself out of any move with that buy out clause. Top player but the days of silly fees are over.

The Italy international has continually being linked with a move away from the reigning Premier League champions following numerous acts of indiscipline.

But Cavani is dreaming of teaming up with the flamboyant attacker in Naples, even though his agent Mino Raiola has all but ruled out a return to Italy this winter.

"Nobody has the right to judge someone else. We all make mistakes. He's a great player in my opinion and I would love to play alongside him," Cavani told Tg1.

"Balotelli is a champion and has already shown what he can do. He has the quality to make people very happy."

Cavani then went on to stress that he has no intention of leaving Napoli as he is happy with life at the club.

"I want to stay at this club for a long time. I am enjoying every moment here and the fans give the team something extra," he added.

"Naples has given me a lot. I have a lot of love for this club, this city and its fans. Their warmth boosts my confidence."

The 25-year-old has a contract with the Partenopei until June 2017, but he has a limited fee release clause of €63 million.

I think Cavani would have bagged 3 against Arsenal. So many chances missed, especially on counters.

We don't seem ruthless anymore.
we aren't Tevez doesn't seem the same and Balotelli is a complete liability. Dzeko and Aguero are great but the other two not so much (although Tevez has the most PL assists for us). This is why it is so frustrating when you look at the money we have spent there and we are not clinical enough.

Seems to be a lot of misconceptions about Cavani. He really is incredibly wasteful and misses a lot of outrageous sitters. However he always takes his chances and works extremely hard around the box to recieve those chances. The chemistry between him and Napoli's forward line last season was just incredible, which I feel made him better than he is.

I think he's a level below the likes of RVP, Falcao, Aguero (despite form) and what have you, but he is still an excellent striker. I'd still have him at Chelsea in an instant, but he is infuriating to watch at times. Some people seem to have this idea that he is as clinical as those mentioned above, which simply isn't the case.

yep confused me too.
we all make mistakes tho :)

He takes his chances, but he misses a lot of them. Sorry if that's confusing but I'm used to seeing Torres who takes chances and completely messes them up.

For instance, Cavani could have knocked us out of the CL last season with a point blank header at the far post, which he somehow knocked behind.

Edit: I realise "taking chances" usually means converting them. Not what I meant!
