my greatest concern about this season's transfer window is a repeat of what happened last year:
RVP chooses Utd over us. did we need RVP as much as United? no, but had we thrown enough cash at him to keep him away from a team that finished below us, there's no way they'd have passed us and we'd be back-to-back champions.
now we have another team below us in the standings who are competing to sign the best available striker.
people that don't see a legitimate possibility that Mourinho's Chelsea could pass us with Cavani's goals are fooling themselves. yes, we've handled Chelsea the last several times we played them... but we also handled Utd easily in 2011-12.
i don't usually counsel breaking the bank... but i believe that it's time once again to make a statement of our intent. we will be coming for the title and nothing so small as a transfer fee will bar the way.

Had a wee gleek at the Chelsea forum's, and it appears they are in the exact same position as us - not knowing what fcuk is going on with Cavani, and wondering why the hell they don't appear to be in for Lewadowski.

No concerns, out of a list of six posted by Goal.com of which Cavani was one, a third of those named have now signed on the doted line. If the speculation on the other threads won't be long before we get the "Pellegrini" and hopefully following him will be Isco. It looks like Novaretti has choosen Lazio so that just leaves Alcantara and Cavani. We are on a roll and for me they will happen. :-)

Here's hopin bud. It's one of those ones where the longer the wait the more doubt creeps in for me unfortunately. News of Real circling is also ominous, but I will stop flapping and tuck my skirt in immediately!
