Cavani Speculation/News 3 (or 4)

Not worth more than Aguero and if Chelsea are prepared to meet the buyout clause then good luck them.

Good luck to them if true, Cavani is top class but 60m euros is just outrageous.

City can't be splashing out that sort of money unless we knew for cerain he would guarantee us 30 goals a season and for me it's too much of a gamble.

I would love to sign Cavani but time to move on, he is just too expensive.

at the end of the day our current strikers should be getting no less than 50/60 between them in the league by themselves if they play to their capability.

At the end of the day with strikers it's a case of them sticking the ball in the net, with midfielders there's a lot more scope to say you're lacking something, with our strikers they all have the ability to score a bagful of goals so Cavani isn't a necessity.

We can all get woo'd with the idea that Cavani will come in and bag 35 league goals, but if we're going to play to the level that enables him to do that then I really don't see why Kun can't get very close or match that, and Dzeko and Tevez more than add a bonus amount on top.

Ultimately it's giving these boys the service and Manuel instilling the confidence and work ethic into them so they take them, that would be the same for our current lot or if Cavani came in.

You can't buy everyone and there will always be tough competition at the top of the game, that's the nature of the beast.

Cavani and Falcao were the best two strikers on the market at the start of the window, the rest are like for like strikers in comparison to what we have.

If we were to miss out on both Cavani and Falcao I honestly don't see us going for a different striker, we will keep what we have.

Too expensive mate, time to move on.

63m euros is ridiculous, I would want a guarantee for that.

Then it will be down to wages and where he wants to play his decision but probably won't happen until end of month unless he tweets something like Hazard. Agreeing with Napoli just puts them in the same boat as ourselves they have caught up.
