Easy Man, its the Russian's money.
If you have it flaunt it.
I don't think any Manchester City will be particularly upset if we spunked 60 mil on Cavani.

I wouldn't be upset but I certainly wouldn't be thrilled. That's a terrible investment and a sign of a club without any coherent plan or vision

Hehe. What vision is it to pay Fernandinho 34 million pounds then ? Way to draw an arbitrary line. If Fernandinho is worth that much, Cavani is worth 50m easily. The only reason you aren't paying that is because you have two great strikers already.

How much was Torres, Schevchenko, Crespo and Veron again?

Yesyes

Cavani is not worth €63m, full stop.

Suarez is available for €40m euros, pretty much same goal return and plays in a better league, is Cavani worth €23m more than him? NO.

I would rather pay €17m more and have a go at getting Ronaldo if his price is €63m, Cavani is a €45m player no more.

Suarez will not go for 40m euros. Even if he does so, it's because of his toxic nature, not because his real value is that. They are both roughly equal players and will go for around the same amount. At least 50m euros for both.

No chance, Suarez has helped his cause in forcing himself out of Anfield with all this media and Madrid talk.

Liverpool have to sell him, he has cornered them.

Either way €40m is the correct fee for Suarez, as it is for Cavani.

For €50m plus I would want a guarantee on my goal return, and only Ronaldo and Messi can do that in my opinion.

€63m is one huge gamble, massive in fact.

According to the Pellegrini thread,The snake that is Jorabchin is apparently in Italy for talks with Juve and Milan. Now if this is the case surely we have to sign a player that is as good or better and if Edin departs.Fuck me I hope the powers that be know what they are doing.
First time I have been a little concerned

Cavani like Ronaldo or Ibra isn't just a player, its like buying a peice of magic.

True, that. A big marquee signing can lift the team as a whole as it's a show of ambition and how serious the club is. Van Rapist did wonders for United.

and he cost 40 million less!!! ffs

It really doesn't matter what you think he should cost.
All that matters is what clubs are willing to pay for him
There is no union or organization thst determine maximum prices of players, and no sanctions or or penalties for valuing your player as you see fit.

Before you make any Comparisons as regards to price.
Take these factors into consideration:
VanPersie has been extensively ravaged by Injuries and has a very short expected shelf life.
Van Persie publicly declared his desire to leave. He drove his valuation down.
He was in the last year of his contract.
Approaching the end of his peak years, based on typical player age/performance comparisons.

Cavani is Fillet Mignon compared to that.

Was all part of the plan by the looks of it.

Edin was going all season, Tevez was 50/50. It's good news Kia is in talks, it means we have moved a step closer to signing a replacement. Cavani and whom?
