Cavani Speculation/News (page 151 onwards)

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

if it comes down to City v Chelsea, I think we'd just have the edge

Chelsea have London, but we should have a South American boss, and South American players and a 60,000 stadium coming online.

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

Think we need to just pay the fee and get him signed up, there arnt that many strikers in the class of Cavani (Falcao to Monaco already done), we lost out on Hazard last year because of agent fee's. We shouldn't be held to ransom, but sometimes you have to pay for quality.

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

Think people need to relax here.... An article/journo saying Chelsea are keen and suddenly its the end of the world.

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

So a journalist who gets some things right says that chelski rang napoli and asked them to stand by on a decision and napoli are pretty happy to do so what does that even mean it couldnt be any more vague. if chelsea wanted to make a bid they would just make a bid, i really dont think ADL is the type of guy to say ok well I will wait for you to decide what you want to do before i do anything, he will do what is best for him make no mistake about that, its a complete nonsense no one knows anything he's coming to us. then he's going to madrid, then he's off to chelsea.

Thats the whole problem with twitter its given a whole load of people licence to make an ambiguous statement in a 140 characters with no follow up whatsoever and then let everyone interpret it and take what they want from it and make themself seem alot more knowledgeable than they are. This guy makes an ambiguous statement with no further facts and all of a sudden we cant complete a deal etc etc etc

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

From Marca.com

The father of Edinson Cavani thinks the Uruguayan forward will be leaving Napoli over the summer for a move to Spain. 'The matador' does not feature in the photo of the Napoli side that will start the pre-season and his father Luis Cavani is doubtful that the club will expect his son to continue in the Serie A; "because this is a business and I think his future will be in Spain," he is reported as saying.

It seems the Italian club is ready to listen to offers for the goal-scorer and if that is the case both Real Madrid and Manchester City will fight over the player's signature.

I will be really hacked off if we do not complete this signing.

Easy for me to say but we need to pay up and seal some key deals, fast.

Remember all that Alexis Sanchez circus, could do without all that again.

Don't think it will happen again...

We are doing our things a lot more different now and we have different people with experiences at the helm as well than last year...

There is a lot of work which media is picking up (I mean the journo's with good sources and info who have been getting a lot of the past 2-3 weeks correct i.e. Falcao, Moutinho, Pellegrini etc.)

As well as the fact Soriano has said we have several (5-7?) deals looking in the conclusion phase, which Txiki is handling... now if these deals were in someone else's hands I would be worried... but this is Txiki "Laporta/Barca never does anything without his consultation" Begiristain ... We should all feel very relaxed and chilled that we are in the best possible hands out there to have these deals done... and I am sure the majority will be done earlier (1-3 weeks) rather than late

I love Cavani and really wish he comes here us... but I keep remembering the Sanchez saga with him being our Summer number 1 target... we eventually went for our number 2 target being Aguero and nobody will disagree that panned out shit...

This time all our guys especially T&S will get this summer right, I am sure!

Was it an Alexis Sanchez circus or was it just the usual major flapping on here plus the customary bullshit in the gutters .
