Remember all that Alexis Sanchez circus, could do without all that again.

Don't think it will happen again...

We are doing our things a lot more different now and we have different people with experiences at the helm as well than last year...

There is a lot of work which media is picking up (I mean the journo's with good sources and info who have been getting a lot of the past 2-3 weeks correct i.e. Falcao, Moutinho, Pellegrini etc.)

As well as the fact Soriano has said we have several (5-7?) deals looking in the conclusion phase, which Txiki is handling... now if these deals were in someone else's hands I would be worried... but this is Txiki "Laporta/Barca never does anything without his consultation" Begiristain ... We should all feel very relaxed and chilled that we are in the best possible hands out there to have these deals done... and I am sure the majority will be done earlier (1-3 weeks) rather than late

I love Cavani and really wish he comes here us... but I keep remembering the Sanchez saga with him being our Summer number 1 target... we eventually went for our number 2 target being Aguero and nobody will disagree that panned out shit...

This time all our guys especially T&S will get this summer right, I am sure!

Agree

Cavani's a RVP type signing, this signing alone will change our mindset and will be the difference next season, he's that good.

After missing out on RVP last season and seeing the difference he made, i can't see it happening again

Adds to the list of sagas

Ronaldhino
Kaka
Tevez
Sanchez
Hazard

Well we have to have at least one of these each year. :-)

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

everbody has bigged up txixi and ferran....lets see if the hype matches the reality when it comes to it......if real madrid are really after cavanni and now also chelsea, the people doing the deals need to earn their money.

If like they say they have been working on it since November then thats 7 months of work....thats plenty of time to have it all but sorted. They shoud have put the ground work in so not to allow the players head to be turned by other requests from teams.....lets see if they can live up to their reputations when it matters

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

Just going to keep reminding ppl that its an election year at Real Madrid...

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

It's not a question of their negotiating skills but the package offered and the teams involved in the auction.

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

I find this hype over Cavani really really confusing..

I have watched 80% of his games this season.. and is he a good player? yes ... is he worth much more than 30 million ? No

He wouldn't fit in our current system (or pelligrini's new one) and is nowhere near the quality of Aguero and probably worse than Tevez. He is a quicker version of Dzeko that is it (compare Dzeko of Wolfsburg to Cavani of Napoli...)

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

If that is true then is there a need to sign any new striker this summer? Should we be waiting till next year when Tevez's contract has expired before getting one, or would our team as a whole (istic) (see what I did there) be better served with trying to get him to sign an extension or new contract. Over the last three years Tevez has demonstrated he can score goals, last season Edin did the same along with Aguero, do you think maybe this season is just a blip and with the correct midfield players in support of our three strikers we could get back to scoring loads of goals without breaking the bank.

How about De Rossi. Him and Kaka would get along well; they hate a windup.
