If this was to collapse, would keeping Dzeko be so bad?

He may not have the attributes of Cavani but i'm confident a better manager can get more out of him personally while utilising him more efficiently.

Add Isco,Navas and Fernandinho to our current squad and, while losing out on Cavani,we still become far stronger.

I totally agree with this. We are massively lacking in quality creative options and dynamic midfielders.

Aguero-Dzeko/Tevez-Guidetti is a fantastic forward line. It is not at all what we need to strengthen (unless BOTH Dzeko and Tevez *want* to leave)

I agree. Said it many times before.
If you guys tweak your tactics and add 1-2 midfield pieces, you'll be deadly.

I really dont think Cavani is your answer. your strikeforce is ridic to start with

From the outside mate, can you name me a starting XI using the current squad and additions that you think would make us into a very formidable team, it would be good to get another fans view.

:)

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

So Chelsea missed out on Neymar for who they made the highest bid (according to Neymar's father) and now they turn their attention to Cavani for their marquee signing.

PSG also interested !

ADL must be loving this. He will sell to the highest bidder.

If City want Cavani it is going to cost a lot of money, €60m + !!!

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

@tancredipalmeri 10m
Benitez has not signed after being assured on Cavani. He has been told that if 63m bid will arrive,Cavani will go,but money will be invested

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

Could become a 'saga' but if Dzeko can be convinced to go I reckon we can get this done. ADL has publicly spoken of such a deal in a positive way and sent Bigon to discuss it, and Rafa has just seen Dzeko put goals past his Chelsea team first hand and probably rates him. Benitez will probably play one up front at Napoli and Dzeko could flourish as The One and Only.

Chelsea just moved from 8:1 to 5:1 on skybet in the last 10 minutes

-- Mon May 27, 2013 8:08 pm --

Id have to put some serious thought into that.... Il drop it off in a bit

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

I'm looking at it like this at the end of the day, Napoli will want to invest the Cavani money into another top forward and no doubt Dzeko will be on that list in my opinion.

Cavani's buy-out is what 55m Euros? If we put down 30m pounds plus Edin making Dzeko valued roughly around 20m pounds, not only are they getting a shed load of money they are getting a very good forward for a very good price.

This is the deal we will put to the table if you ask me, take it or leave it.

Re: Cavani Speculation/News

Don't be so cruel guys. Let us have Cavani. Otherwise this is what we have to deal with next season :

I have already made a farewell video and if Torres is our striker next season I am going to jump off a bridge.

Yes. We've witnessed his horrible first touch, his inconsistency, his lying on the ground while others play on, his disrespectful shushing of fans cheering him, his lack of effort, and his tantrums.
