Mourinho on Torres:"(...)deserves respect(...)respect starts by speaking with him face-to-face and deciding what is the best for all of us"

-------------------------------

That's Torres gone then!

Thats not what is being reported on SSn

<a class="postlink" href="http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8769994/Jose-Mourinho-wants-to-get-the-best-out-of-Fernando-Torres" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www1.skysports.com/football/news ... ndo-Torres</a>

Saying that if Torres wants to stay then he can and will try to get the best out of him.
Saying he wants one or two signings (obviously that could still include Cavani - not Mouhrihnos words but mine)

Yep, got this off the Sun:

Mourinho insisted: “Fernando is more than happy to stay and work hard — and I think he deserves that respect from me.

“That respect starts by speaking with him face to face and deciding what is the best for all of us.

“If the best for all of us is for Fernando to stay, let’s help him and try to get the best out of him.”

Said this about Rooney:

And returning Chelsea boss Mourinho opened the door for a possible move to Stamford Bridge by admitting: “I like him. He is at a fantastic age.

“He has maturity, big experience and is still young. It’s up to him and what he wants, what makes him happy.”

Rooney, 27, is due to have talks with new Old Trafford boss David Moyes over his future following Alex Ferguson’s retirement.

But it is understood he is interested in what Chelsea have to say.

Mourinho added: “He’s a little bit like me. He doesn’t need one more pound in his contract and one more cup won’t make a difference. Be happy.

“Where is he happy? Where will he find more happiness to have ambition and drive him?”

If we get Cavani and they get Rooney that is a laughable outcome. Only worry then is how United spend their money.

They will no doubt go all out for Lewandowski in my opinion.

I just cannt see rooney going to Chelski for two reasons

Would utd sell to a direct rival?

Would Rooney want to go to Chelski? - maybe if he was the main man which he wants to be but I just cannt see utd selling to a direct rival.......

And RVP returns to the number 10 role? possible.

I wonder if they might actually use Kagawa properly.

I seriously can't believe they're after Rooney, he hasn't influenced a game in about a year and a half

This all comes down to edin. He's not moving to back to Germany cause BVB aren't selling lewi so where does this leave him... Stay? Possible but he'll never be a first choice striker here.. Leave? Whose really taken an interest in him napoli. Someone needs to give him a thorough talking to and explain to him that he doesn't have as many options as he might think

I have a feeling that if a decent offer came in for Edin he is off, but like you say there will be limited takers.

I honestly cannot see him going Dortmund, so that leaves Napoli, and for me Dzeko will be the man who they will try to replace Cavani with.

It's not as if it's a bad move really is it? In the Champions League, playing for a top team in Italy, will play every week and will be the number one striker.

To the people who say stop flapping, it's not the end of world if we don't get Cavani. Simple question: if you went it battle tomorrow who would you want stood next to you Cavani or Dzeko?

You'd go with Džeko... Why? Because we have him & I doubt we'd buy Cavani in time for said battle!
But putting aside the daft question, it's not a case of just spunking £54m. It's ok for us to say "it's only..." Or "just buy him ffs", the club don't & rightly won't spend that sort of cash while there is a risk of FFP. You also have to think if it was your money, & every fucker will moan next season when season ticket prices increase further & the club say "well you wanted us to spend £54m on Cavani! We have to recoup it somehow". Can't have it both ways.
It's not good business practice to spend that amount, & like it or not we are a business & the sooner fans get that in their heads the better. We are no longer a club for the fans, we lost that a long time ago & we can't keep that & have success.
So as we say, chill, calm down & if he signs (IMO it's already done & the media are purely guessing) great, if not then so be it.
