Or he doesn't fit with his national team.

That's even worse and biggest thing to worry about. 63 millions player should fit with Tahiti.
Nonsense. Messi didn't fit with his national team until fairly recently.

-- Thu Jun 20, 2013 8:16 pm --

He hasnt made the move yet though, that is worrying if the thought of a big move give his legs a wobble.
Or he doesn't fit with his national team. It's not an answerable question at this point.
True and you wouldnt be reaching into your pocket for £40 mil for Suarez on these displays.
But the opportunities Cavani had you would expect more.
Except most people here (with the obvious exception of the Dzeko Brigade) would do just that because they've seen him do it at Liverpool.

The only nonsense is coming from people who think Cavani is worth the quoted money and that he would deliver in style of football miles different than the single one where he delivered.

No footballer is worth that much.

Messi, Ronaldo and probably Bale are.

None else, I agree. Cavani is worth 25-30 mil. He's not close as special as people think he is. Rooney for ex. is twice player he is, even now when he is not as good as before.
This. I can't stand Shrek but you are right, he's way better than Cavani.

He misses chances like this all the time for Napoli, as I've said before.

He is by no means deadly in front of goal. He just gets a shedload of chances at club level.

Yet his goal/chance ratio is a lot better than our current strikers....

He had a great season, our all our strikers massively underperformed and his ratio STILL wasn't much better than ours' were.

Good point this. Same happened with Schevchenko, Torres, Carroll and others. The pressure that kind of price tag puts on a player is a major issue. Once a striker starts doubting himself, he's in trouble. Imagine what it would be like if someone has forked out stupid money on him?
He hasnt made the move yet though, that is worrying if the thought of a big move give his legs a wobble.

A 53million footballer should be able to fit in any team and certainly with his national team.

Yeah that Messi sure was a bum all those years for Barcelona when he was dire for his national team, wasn't he? Barca should have moved heaven and earth to get Lukas Podolski. Proper player there. Always performs for the national team.

Thing is Messi always looked a class player for Argentina no matter what, it was just that others around him were not on the same wavelength.
