Just seen the ADL interview. I have a feeling that's the end of our dealings with Napoli.
Can't recall his exact words, but he's basically just said we won't pay Cavani's release clause, not because we can't afford it, but because of FFP.
Slightly disrespectful to talk about another club like that, but not too bad, so far...
He then went on to say that the only reason we can meet FFP is that we have tricked the system, by creating a 'second company' or words to that effect. He also added "are you listening Mr Platini"!!!
Benitez looked like he wanted to slide off his chair and under the table.
At the very least I'd think we'd now end negotiations. Isn't ADL also walking on dodgy legal ground there?

We can use the proceeds from the libel lawsuit as part-ex for the transfer fee of Cavani :)

The woman!!! I fucking knew ADL was bullshitting about the chavs interest!! TBH I'm soooo glad that we've made a valuation and gone no further. We fucked up with Hazard & RVP last year, but we've learned from those mistakes.
We've done our homework, made a fair offer at market rates and stuck to it. The way this Cavani saga is playing itself out, I'm getting to the point where I couldn't care less if we get him or not.
£53m for Cavani or £25m for Lewandowski or Higuain? Mmmmmmm..... Is Cavani £28m pounds better than those two, I think not. I'd rather buy Lewandowski and Higuain for £50m and we'd still have change left to get a KFC Bargain Bucket and a taxi home!!! :-)

After seeing it again, I get the impression we were the highest bidder, but not enough to satisfy ADL. So it may not yet be over.
