I hope to god we walk away from this. He isn't worth anything like the figures being quoted. He HAS been brilliant for Napoli (playing a style to suit him). But he has been utter gash for his country in all major comps' (tonights game being an exception). His touch and timing have looked to be on a par with Dzeko ffs. Speaking of Dzeko, if Napoli have a manager that has found a style / system that gets the best out of Cavani (as is his job) shouldn't we expect our manager to do the same with Dzeko? Surely the managers job isn't to just look out for the top scoring striker at another club and go and buy him, but to adapt his own team to get the best out of what is already an outstanding squad of players.
If the transfer window closed 10 minutes ago, I'd take our squad over every other in the league ( Chelsea do run us close tho'). And on that basis I'd expect MP to have us playing teams off the park next season and scoring goals for fun.

He's a great player and had us flapping when we played them both at home and away. The fee though is extortion and thats why I hope we're looking elsewhere now.

I wasn't impressed with him for Uruguay until today when he looked like the player we know from Napoli

Makes more sense for Chelsea who have two wide forwards

As much as I rate him,i think im in agreement.

If Chelskii get him then there is a real possability that he could have the same effect on them like RvP had on the rags
