As i stated in your thread back in Jan, i thought you was a little premature with your news about Isco but on this one i think your bang on

On Cavani, Dan? Interesting that the club is moving quickly even without a new manager officially appointed. Makes you think that Pellegrini will be there to be Txiki's puppet.

The new way I think Jordan, Txiki and Ferran deal with ins and outs- the coach then coaches what he's given, ala Barça and Real Madrid. Though could be wrong.

I would imagine there would of been a conversation "Pele could you fit Cavanni Isco and Fernandinho in your team"

". Yes I think I could"

"Your hired"

Fernandinho, isco and cavani. That would be absolutely unreal business. All 3 are exactly what we need. And I expect there to be more incomings after them.
Add a wide player with pace like Navas and wow.

While Chelsea are getting pissed and exploring the red light distract let's make De Laurentiis "an offer he can't refuse"!

if we want Cavani, we better get it wrapped up with Chelsea having just won Europa, don't want it to be like Hazard last year!

just those 3 would be wow, a top wide player too would be double-wow in my humble opinion + if i got a go with jessica alba too then i'd couple that a triple wow

A Replacement for kolorov would be good.

19m and 100k a week.

That was enough to justify a dismissal or two.

Its heartbreaking and very annoying to think about the cash we've spunked in recent years.

we didnt have much choice and it got us where we are today, a top club.

Hate it that we're competing with Chelsea in this but we need to finish this deal somehow. Chelsea need a striker badly and have the money for it after missing on falcao.

Nature of the beast with us competing with Chelsea for the players. Hopefully we have learned a few valuable lessons regarding transfers, and I am still confident that we will land Cavani. However if we do try and sign Cavani we will come up against a very stubborn Napoli owner.

The Falcao thing has really thrown a spanner in the works I think. I was quietly sure that Falcao would come here and Cavani would go to City. But since Falcao's agent is basically in the slave trade we're now in a situation where two teams with a lot of money are in need of one striker.

Not sure how this will pan out. It seems like City has been grooming Cavani for some time, we're very late to the party. I wouldn't be surprised to see Napoli just use our interest to extort more money out of you. If it comes down to the player's preference, the London factor could be a tie breaker. Honestly no idea but we'll see soon enough.

Didn't matter a jot last summer. Money talks in the end

Well... just spoke with my cousin outside of Naples (few hundred kms) and he's given me NO info... Even as part of the Ultra's there, theyre in the dark as to what's happening which is quite rare.

Basically the word going around there (which is obvious), is highest bidder takes him. They just dont know who itll be... usual suspects : city, real, cheslea

Also surprising, is how calm and positive they are about losing one of the best. They trust their SD's and management so much that they're welcoming the 60m plus investment from Aurelio to have one hell of a mercato.

Napoli may end spending about 80m or so this summer.

Incredible.

Highest bidder in terms of wages then? Is that what you mean?

I assume it means whoever hits the buyout clause... or gets closest to it.

By the sounds of it, he's willing to go to any top club with CL football

Why are Napoli so insistent in selling him, they're in the CL next year themselves.

Unless the player wants to move on, of course

I asked myself the same question...
He is at a top club. Napoli is underrated as hell.. They have CL, they have good players, an owner who invests, and seriously one of the more maniacal fanbases in the world.

By the sounds of it, he wants off.. Im sure Aurelio isnt too shy about making 60m either.

Their scouts are top effing notch and that 60m and more will be spent phenomenally.

They aren't... that's why they're waiting for someone to trigger his release clause which leaves them powerless. The only way ADL seems willing to budge at all is if someone offers money + a player he likes. City seemed to try the cash + Dzeko route but Dzeko prefers the Bundesliga and we can't force him to go there. In the end, I think a club may pay lower but with the possibility of addons/bonuses pushing it up towards his release clause.

According to the rubbish press the Unholy Roman Empire (Chelski) are closing in quickly on Cavani after missing out on Falcao. I think its quite conceivable that we won't sign Cavani, which will have interesting consequences. I like the idea of El Sharaawy with Kun as an alternative.
