I'll be absolutely gobsmacked if we let this one get off the hook, especially after past experiences

for the amount we'd have to pay though, why not offer that for bale?

i know who i'd rather have, bale is the next ronaldo and i'm not joking when i say that.

Spot on a Madrid player

Who was the chap who let txixi in a restaurant earlier this year?

Was cavani on the list of players we were getting? ;)

gotta be worth a try before madrid come in for him, either that or agree to back off if they give us di maria on the cheap.

On a lighter note, and in a completely manly way, obviously. How beautiful does he look here

Not all that arsed. Cavani wouldn't suit the way we play anyway. Would much rather have Falcao.

The way Mancini plays it you mean ? Great that then, may as well keep Dzeko

Cavani is exactly what we need, along with a switch to 4-3-3. We also need to make a statement or two in the transfer market. I thought we should have defied FFP and paid the money to get Cavani and Bale last summer. If we had, we would have given the Rags a much better fight this year and paid considerably less for the two players that should be priorities to try and sign this summer.

You beat me to it, there's no better striker out there to fit a 4-3-3 system, he's been ripping it up for Napoli in that system and has proved he can cope with the physical side of the game in Italy.

Spurs won't sell to an English club

Agree

I'll be equally gobsmacked if Levy done business with another English club in the sale of Bale, he refused to deal with Chelsea on the sale of Modric, hence the reason Modric was so pissed off, i can see the same thing happening with Bale.

Don't get me wrong, i would love him at City but Levy is the stumbling block not Bale

Just as i was typing the above, great minds.....

I've lived in France, have family there still, and have a lot of experience with hearing about supposedly done deals on RMC.

Not a credible news source at all, in my opinion, as far as transfer gossip goes. (Not that any source particularly is, but I'd rate RMC with the Sun or Mirror here.)

Having a longer think about this I think this is how it is with the whole Cavani saga:

Cavani's missus wants out marriage and Italy.
Cavani's agent, his mum and dad have all let leak he wants to leave.
This leak prompted Man City, PSG and Real to begin to get serious about personal terms with Cavani's agent.
Man City & PSG have agreed personal terms with Cavani but no one has dared to go all out for the buyout clause in order to beat the other due to FFP. Real Madrid quiet...?
Real Madrid might be the true target and City and PSG being used as tools for Cavani to get to Real.?
OR
Cavani wanting any of Man City or PSG to agree fee and take him out of Napoli, hence agreeing personal terms with both. Fee is the biggest hurdle.

Remember, Cavani agreed to this huge buyout clause because he was a) seduced by that c*nt Aurelio De Laurentiis b) he was happy with his wife and kids in Napoli but with her going he wants out and a fresh start.

Just my guess...

Depressing to lose a player like this, but there are alternatives.

Every time I've watched Cavani and Suarez play together for Uruguay, Suarez has outclassed him by a huge margin. Shame about the insanity. Falcao is sane, though.
