Neither penalty was a penalty, in my opinion. The red card was understandable. That there was no malice intended is irrelevant. I'd say that in 95% of red card offences, there's no malice. It's generally just clumsiness or poor decision making, as was the case today. Isn't the wording something like endangering an opponent? I'd say having your foot up at head height would qualify as endangering an opponent. But I suppose you seldom get a manager saying that they agree with a red card given to one of his players.
