This the same Rangers that were the worst champions league side ever last season.
Hahaha

Yep and just pumped your team in the league and out the cup.

Have a lovely day

Nigh on impossible to go from playing Ross County away to Atletico Madrid away and expecting similar outcome....

Celtic have only themselves to blame though for their poor showings in Europe again this season.
After winning the league and cup last sesason (and treble? I can't remember??), secured champions league money, and a record sale of Jota in the summer, they didn't strengthen the starting XI at all. Must have signed nearly a dozen players in the summer and the only one deemed good enough to start at the minute is Luis Palma, and he might not even start if everyone was fit (Abada).
Bad sign when your first attacking sub to come on in the last game was James Forrest!

What was needed was three or four players signed who could come in and play week in week out and improve the first team. Left back, goalkeeper for example, i'm sure there are a few other positions...

I did say that when we saw the lack of quality they were signing in the summer.

I’d point you to Magics posts regarding the superstars they were signing but that would be like kicking a man when he’s down

The ‘Ross County’ point is an interesting one. Rangers have reached 2 Euro finals in the last 15 years. A couple of quarter finals and got out of the group stages of Europa League groups a few times. Now I know you’ll come back with it’s a lesser competition but Celtics group this year is not dissimilar to a Europa League group.

It’s strange Rangers have done reasonably well in European Competition while Celtic dominate our league but are found wanting in Europe

They are in Champions League due to Rangers exceptional Europa League performances. The Scottish Co efficient is sitting way above where it should be. Any Scottish team would struggle to qualify for the tournament.

Celtic are a Pot 4 club and they are performing as a Pot 4 club! In all fairness to Celtic a team like Atl Madrid can do that to many teams.

Champions League group stages is all a club from Scotland can hope for and possibly scraping third spot and Europa after Xmas.

You could hardly have handpicked a better group for Celtic this season and still we see them struggling. Rangers did brilliantly last season to make the groups then were absolutely pummelled in every game.

It’s fun mocking them but we are where we are and without huge investment in Scottish football it’s not changing anytime soon.
Having refs give them every decision in Scotland actually harms Celtic as they can’t adapt to European refs actually applying the rules fairly

I didn’t like to say but that is the most obvious

Maeda flies into the same challenge as last nights Red at least every second game. He had a far worse challenge on Tavernier in the first old firm game that he wasn’t even booked for

Over a period of 10 years all Scottish premier clubs average (every season) between 4-6 fouls per booking. One club over the same time period year after year average 14-16 fouls per booking. I’ll leave you to guess which club gets such an easy ride from the Scottish officials

Any team with limited champions league experience will be found out at athletico, they are the most cuntish side in europe and the only side I dread city drawing. You have to cheat, delay and take the very few chances they offer up otherwise they will kill you. That said Joe Hart needs replacing, he has regressed again and looks lazy

Limited experience?

Celtic are in Europe groups more or less every season. You’d struggle to find a team outwith the Top 5 leagues with more experience!

Actually one of the arguments is they should have learned that they need to change tactics when playing in Europe
