Eh? For a start, I wouldn't class him as the "flair" midfielder we need. And secondly; even if he was, he'd be half the season sat in the stands serving suspensions. Wouldn't mind Arteta (if he was over his injuries). And Rodwell as one for the future.

I think Michael Johnson would work well with De Jong or Barry.

Agreed, although I really don't see him ever being the player we knew he could be now after the injuries, certainly not next season, and we can't rely on him.

A fit Arteta would be an excellent acquisition, I just can't see us allowing blue dips and Gollum to bum us again.
