£50m limit will be the amortised value.

Otherwise it makes no sense for FFP calcs as we would, if the players sign 5 year deals, have £10m outlay for FFP.

Also, as UEFA have alrady allowed us to 'disallow' incentive payments for players in calcs then they could not stop us from saying to a club that we pay £5m year one and if he plays 1 minute of football in years 1 and 2 a final payment of £45m is paid in year 3.

This is what could happen.

We could pay a significant loan facility payment this season, and settle the balance next term, with it coming off the price tag.

Makes no difference, we get around the cap.
would barca go for this type of deal though with fabregas would thought they would want more money down payment ?

I thought we made an offer but they turned it down ? Could well be wrong though.....

Pretty sure Oldham have NOT been paid. Sjk008/Ste the resident Oldham fan is always pining on about how Oldham need the cash and how he hopes he gets sold for 10m.

I am very, very confident that a deal was brokered.

They rejected the deal in 2006 APPARENTLY.

Recent reports, regarding sale of Richards, all factor in 20% sell on clause.

In regards to FFP, does it mean that we have to disclose any transfer fee's, ins & outs?

I don't see why?

It's a loan facility payment at the end of the day with a first-option agreement to purchase.

We could front load a premium, to convince clubs they will be better off doing business with us.

United paid a £10m loan payment for Tevez, with an option to buy.

For example, what if we offered Southampton a £10m fee this summer for loaning Luke Shaw?

We say to Southampton that we will pay a further £25m on top to make it permanent in 12 months time. They get £5m more than any other club were actually prepared to pay.

Just when the salary and monitoring cap ends....

All clubs pay on the drip, anyhow.

If this is true then we would have to factor in players signed like Fernandinho, Navas, Negredo and Jovetic all of whom will have amortized values entering this season. It can't work both ways.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

Disappointing, if true, to hear that proposed potential transfer details are still leaking out of City, really disappointing

We have a deal in place that is for this year and next now.

UEFA cannot have their cake and eat it.

That deal is merely just a stricter enforcement of the rules specifically for us. I doubt that UEFA have wiped off all of our transfer dealings before this settlement was made. If that was the case and the £50m cap was based on amortized figures then we could theoretically sign five £50m players to 5 year deals because that would be 5 lots of £10m in book value.

Agents and rival clubs leak.

Take the Mancini sacking, Barca did that when we snatched Pellegrini from their reach, they then destroyed us in the media with the leak. Fuck all you can do about that. I stopped caring about the press the day we started receiving negative press purely out of envy. Opinions count for nothing, trophies and the teams future is all that matters. Players, Managers and Board members will come and go but the club remains and the owner is the Balon D'or winner of owners.
