Cesc Fabregas signs for Chelsea (page 190)

Re: Cesc Fabregas

How does PSG spunking their entire budget on Luiz force Yaya situation . In one swoop it used their budget and events if the last week mean they need to be conciliatory to UEFA as Blatter is now after them. The Luiz deal stunk of thiago silva getting his way and Chelsea taking advantage.

Keep Yaya there is no one like him and he is different class . He will stay he is winning things. , loves the fans Nd his teammates, getting huge exposure, playing an attacking role etc I am sure he will stay

With PSG's owner coming out and saying David Luiz was their answer to FFP I don't think they are too interested in their 50m spending cap.

I don't think they have stopped in the market either.

What did their owner say?

I wish we'd do that.

We can save 40m from the 60m fine and get it reduced to 20m if we comply and break even next season though.

It's OK spending a load of money but I want City to be financially stable as soon as possible personally, FFP will only affect us this summer because from next year it will be a distant memory as our finances should be in a good place, this trasfer window I think is just going to be something we have to take on the chin.

If we have to spend more than 50m this summer then I think we are doing something wrong, our squad is top notch and only needs a few additions and a top CB to complement Vinny and we should be ready to go again.

Atletico Madrid's team last year had barely 50m spent on it so you don't have to spend big amounts to be successful.

Re: Cesc Fabregas

PSG don't give two shits for FFP and have, in no uncertain terms told Platini so
50m fine is fuck all. They are the richest club without doubt. Backed by a sovereign fund
We're owned by Sheikh Mansour and whilst he is very wealthy he is no match for Qatar.
If they give us 50m for Yaya and we get Fabregas I'll be happy.

I'd love to be at the Platini Christmas dinner

£50m on the Champions is a huge amount.

The problem is finding players better than what we have. Those players are rare and normally kept well under wraps by their clubs.

For example who has moved so far who you would like at City?

I think we have already done our business and have two deals in place. And maybe we are not finalising those in case something else, like Fabregas falls into our lap? He is one of those rare players who you'd amend plans for. Can't say I like his attitude on the pitch but as an attacking midfielder he's as good as any. Don't get why Barcelona are so ready to let him go? Has he been trouble behind the scenes?

Re: Cesc Fabregas

PSG don't need to buy any players.

They have a squad to rival Real Madrid. They don't need to spend. When you have 25 World Class players, you buy one, you have to sell another.

They've bought Luiz, and that will mean one of their defenders will have to go

What PSG need is a stronger domestic league to focus their team, and a manager. PSG should have beaten Chelsea over 2 legs instead they played a very poor tactical game. You don't resort to trying to out-do Mourinho at his own game when you have vastly superior players

We could afford the £60m fine and to have blown £50m on an average player and to still be in for Fabregas. But that would look bad for the club and it's that that they don't want, nothing to do with what Mansour could or couldn't afford.

We have always aimed to comply with FFP, which is why effectively getting the sane fine as PSG is so disappointing. But by next season, we'll be in profit and profit which will grow year on year. FFP won't matter and PSG will either have destroyed it or been thrown out of the CL, either way, they look bad and we're forgotten about as the bad boys.

Remember, the whole point of the purchase was to improve the knowledge and image of Abu Dhabi. You don't do that by 'ruining football'
