Re: Cesc Fabregas
Cesc has plateaued at Barca and they are happy to sell. He seems to have a weak mentality. He is younger but that is the only advantage over Yaya.
The only difficulty I can see with Yaya is motivation. He is incredibly ambitious and wants to win all the top trophies, especially the CL, and to be acknowledged as one of the world's best players. Perhaps with our FFP setbacks he sees this less likely? I cannot think of any top team in europe that would not be strengthened by Yaya.Matt the Giant said:Plain Speaking said:Big mistake to consider exchanging Yaya for Cesc IMO. Cesc is a decent player but Yaya is the most influential big game player we have. We would have struggled to have won any of our 4 trophies without Yaya.raymondkl92 said:This can only happen if Yaya is going the other way,and from what his agent said in the sun,it could yet be a possibility! If that happens then I'd go for, Fernandinho,Fernando,Cesc,Silva,Nasri and aguero as our front six!Decent for a shot at the CL!
The chances of Yaya repeating his performances this season in the future is not all that great. He's getting older and thus more lazy. I'd more than happily replace him with Fabregas, who'll be a world class player for years and years to come.
