Liam Delap could be recalled by #ManCity from his loan at Stoke, before loaning him out for the second-half of the season. A number of other Championship clubs are interested.

Official: Cieran Slicker has returned to #ManCity early from his season-long loan at Rochdale.

Could see Tommy Doyle, Liam Delap, Yangel Herrera, Couto, Kabore and maybe even Wilson-Esbrand and Harwood-Bellis being sold this summer. Could potentially be another 70-80m coming in

Delap signed for Preston till end of season, hope we’ve inserted a playing time clause, the lad needs games & more importantly goals to kick start his fledgling career

I don't understand this. It comes up a lot in academy threads.

Delap shouldn't get game time because we have contractually forced the team to use him. He should go there and earn his spot.

He scored 3 in 23 games. He got plenty of chances. Preston are also struggling for goals. Ched Evans has 5 in 20, their Danish striker 5 in 21 and they've got Parrott from Spurs who has scored 1 in 13. Not sure how much game time he'll get but hopefully he'll go straight into the 11 and get a few more chances to score. Right decision to get him out of Stoke. He was playing but getting very few opportunities to score.

Loaning players is a quid pro quo. They get a talented player for nowt and often with heavily subsidised salary, we hypothetically benefit from their development through playing regularly
If they don’t hold up their end of the bargain then it’s not only fair enough but increasingly standard to include penalty clauses
