I am not saying he wasn't but if he was bang average how did he end up with the game time in the first team, surely a not bang average player would have been given that reward?

Saying that, he looked dangerous when playing for the first team.

Hmm, not so much then, hopefully it means a large sell on clause, the way things are going nowadays, one good season for Boro and he will be going to a BHA/Wolves/WHU for 40 or 50m, if we have a nice 30% of that then all is good.
