Don’t even think it’s moaning, it’s like they’re oblivious to the fact we have the best set of players, best manager and, imo, should be one of the favourites. We are the big fish now, one of the elite clubs right at the fine end of the top table. No longer the new comers the rest sneer at. Remember when Ribery expresses his horror at being drawn against us about 5 years ago? We are light years ahead of where we were then, now. Anybody drawn against us shoul think, if that way inclined, that they’ve been stitched up.

They don't want the rags and dippers on the same night to dilute the TV ratings / audience. Don't forget how much money TV puts into the prize pool.

I do not think their oblivious but desperate to be carry on the narrative as City being the plucky underdog. Hence the continual complaining about every organisation, refs, media. As you say the truth is we are one of the big boys and everyone in those 3 pots below will not want to be facing us. For some reason people are uncomfortable with it.

might have to do with the fact that we have been rubbish in the CL on the whole since we entered the comp in 2011.
