I suppose that is why they brought in the rule that pot 1 would be the actual league champions. A lot of the old cartel teams aren’t going to be league champions any time soon, so it helps them get better groups if pot 1 is weaker with champions from lesser leagues.

It's a shame we are in Pot 1, it's abysmal this year on paper! PSG in the groups please. Would love to test ourselves against them with Messi in their side now. Would make the group stage a lot more interesting.

There's nobody that worries me in Pot 2 - we've long since passed the point where we are perceived to be in a group of death. We got past Dortmund & PSG in the knockout stages last season, Spanish clubs are no longer the powerhouses they used to be.
I suspect the Pot 3 & 4 clubs might well be worried though.

It would be amazing wouldn't it. Just checked where it is on google maps and Tiraspol is just east of a town called Bender. Only one thing you can get up to in that town (unless you're being non-PC).

I agree, I think we qualify regardless of who we get. No one out there that would concern me these days. As ever, it's the English teams that worry me most because other than Monaco we've been done by Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea in the past three seasons despite winning the league title each time!
