flying to berlin is a good alternative for leipzig, i did that last year.

berlin is a great city in itself and is only an hour away from leipzig on the train.

would recommend.
This is what I am hoping to do.

Belgrade is a nice city to visit, especially the old town/fortress, great food and hospitality, but... The one should use common sense, as there are always some idiots that are looking for trouble and "trophies". So I wouldn't recommend wearing team shirts, scarfs etc... when in small groups going through the city and in pubs and cafes.

Entering through the players tunnel

The atmosphere should be great and "Marakana" (Rajko Mitic) stadium, although now crumbling, is definitely place to visit.
Where would you recommend for someone to stay mate as an away fan on a first visit to the city

Europa League Draw coming later. I predict

Group 1

Liverpool FC
Not Tuesday FC
Not Wednesday FC
Thursday FC

Train was expensive last year which was surprising

It was a lot cheaper if you booked in advance. I've just checked the late October date and you can get a return for approx £30. We left it late last time and ended up on flix bus there and a flix train back.

Yip sure I was at least 35 quid each way
