Champions League ban?

Would City actually want it scrapped?

It currently stops other clubs i.e. the rags being bought by the Saudi's for example and competing again.

This is quite true. The rags etc will just love it if it is scrapped now as they need to spend big.

The club probably wouldn't. I'd hope our fanbase would though.

Still find it coincidental/planned that all this shit comes on the back of the so called super league for a select number of clubs. Lose FFP and then protect the clubs they want in a tournament of their making and by besmirching our name they can then in their opinion omit us from the competition.

Isnt that the point though? They CAN spend big because they earn big. Utd would surely love FFP to stay as it is because it gives them an advantage.

I would love to know how much of a financial advantage though. I mean that is the flip side to FFP... that Utd, Liverpool, etc would be able to spend much more than anyone else? That needs highlighting to fuck, no one surely wants those teams to be able to spend £50m more than anyone else each year on new players, that's totally utterly unfair.

IMHO they will try to ban us. We're entering the end game now. Self-sustaining, the best team ever seen in the most lucrative competition in world football and the most advanced business model in world football.

The rats are cornered and they are coming at us with their foul, corruption-stained teeth bared.

This is the time for our fans to rally round like we did when we were relegated to the third division.

In modern football, the success of clubs depends on how the clubs can to attract the investor.
City got the investor, so what is the problem?

I'm told that the long-running Dupont/Striani case against UEFA over FFP has been scheduled for a hearing on Feb 7th next year in the Belgian High Court. UEFA didn't want this but were told by the head of the Belgian High Court that they had to be ready by then. Interesting to see what happens if so.
Probably why they would like to throw us out before the conclusion of the case.

The rags could spend £250m a year and not even blink. They don't spend becuase the Glazers don't want to, not because of FFP.
