It's useless to read and to find out what italian newspapers or television say about F.C. Internazionale (our real name, not the imaginative nomenclature "Inter Milan" that is so widespread all around the world), because almost all italian media tend to be controlled by the holding group referable to Elkann (Juventus) and Berlusconi (who is, perhaps, still the chairman of A.C. Milan) and RAI is notoriously in the hands of fanatics of A.S. Roma club (and of Juventus too). All the media are generally quite cold when they speak about us, they try to minimize our results and to deride every faults by us, above all when the matches are still to be played. This is not related to 2022/2023 but it is a tendency going on since '70s. If you want to have a clearer idea about our abilities on the pitch, I would suggest you all to watch some full matches played in the last four seasons, you'll remain quite surprised to discover we are not a team acting with the notorious italian defensive style of playing, even if in this season we've had to customise to a more rough manoeuvre. Which caused twelve defeats? Don't let appearances deceive you. This season, Inter had the stronger team in Serie A, yet there were some internal problems related to various important aspects able to affect players and to generate a weak psychological approach in sight of our national league matches, in addition to this there were the injuries of two key players occurred in September (Lukaku and Brozovic started to play only among March and April), and a completely new defense had to be assembled suddendly (Handanovic, De Vrij and Skriniar lost their places in our normal line-up during the season in October more or less, and a right-back/left-back returned to play as a DC, Darmian, a player who has always been a bench player with us). I am quite optimistic about the final, in terms of predicting 49% Inter, 51% Manchester City, and your advantage is due to the presence of Guardiola and Haaland, this last seems to be a very good striker.
A last thing, I've read among your messages in other topics that Gagliardini should be one of our key players, or, at least, a midfielder who, reportedly in this forum, should have many offers from various clubs. On the contrary, he is considered by Inter fans, and not only, one of the weakest players at our disposal, unworthy to play in a historical club as Inter is. Indeed, he is not only a reserve who rarely has his occasions to play, but he is very modest when he does it, even if he is a nice guy. So to say that, maybe many Citizens should inform themselves better about international football before writing such sentences!
