To be fair to Inter, the appearances in CL this year had nothing to do with those in the first 2/3 of Serie A. They are very good tactically, they have specific plans to every area of the pitch, some good players in key places and they have proved extremely resourceful defensively, especially Onana has made countless amazing saves this season for CL(if you look at this from the opposite side, it means their defense is not that steady and it's not).

And anyway even if we played Southampton in the final, it's just 1 football game, so anything can happen.

But we are the favorites of course. And we should prove it. I'm looking forward to todays training and interviews. And hopefully a journalist to ask Pep if there will be a light training in Saturday morning also. It would be useful. Does anyone know about this?

On the other side, Mkhitaryan a key player to them this year, after 20 days of absence due to injury, returned on Monday on training and will probably play as they say. Not the news I wanted but it's ok, I don't really wish for injuries for the opponents unless it's Utd or Liverpool. :)
I’m just glad we’re playing Inter and not fucking Wigan.

This won't be like Real. Pep had the luxury of the Bernabau to read his opponents game, how they'd set up against us and counter it in the home leg.

Fortunately, Real employed the exact same tactics against City, which fell right into Pep's trap.

It's different this time; we need everyone selected to put in their absolute best performance of the season. We can't be dismissive of Inter Milan, as a club, they've won this competition many times before.
The other difference is that Real are never going to play ultra defensively. They‘d think it beneath them. Whereas Inter won’t care how they win

Now that I've just seen all today players' interviews about the final I just want it more and can't really seem to know a way of handling it if we lose it on Saturday. I can't relive a CL final loss again, I can't withstand it.
So we have to WIN!

These players can do it and they should play from the start in order to do it with an easy way!!
Give everything and try hard to smash them. No slow play. Keep it fast, with pace and urgency to score but also cautious on the passing game of course.

On the other hand KDB had said they just did some double small games today and there was no talk about Inter.
I do not like that. I hated that they had a day off yesterday and today just some small double games??
They should have trained harder and should know Inter full well by now.
There is still time, 3 days of training but don't want valuable days being lost :( :(

Anyway I guess Pep knows perfectly well what he is doing, but I just can't understand this approach.
Lmao

Noticed that too, story after story for a sport that most care little for. Media must be trying to ignore something, now wonder what that could be??
Can you imagine if it was the Scum in the final. Every time you turn the TV on, switch the radio on every paper you look at, (on the front page aswell as the black)

Have been so nervous this week for Saturday, think we'll dominate but nick it by a goal or two. Won't be as one-sided as people expect
I don't know of anyone who thinks it'll be one sided.
I'm hoping to win but expecting a very tough game.
We all know that it's a one-off game at the highest possible pressure for the biggest prize ever, and any result is possible.

More than likely. Probably the same XI that started on saturday (barring Ederson, obviously). The only "maybe" could be Phil in for Bernie, but I'd leave well alone. Personally, I'd prefer Ake over Akanji; I just feel calmer when he's in the XI. Has to be said, though, Akanji has barely put a foot wrong in the last few weeks, and was solid at Wembley.

After the game in Madrid I'd been pushing for Foden or Mahrez to come in for Bernardo for the second leg. He's usually the ultimate big game player, but he didn't make much impact in the away game. Then the second leg happened and he turned it on big time.

He had a relatively quiet game on Saturday, but he's the ultimate team player and I did wonder if part of that was down to him keeping Shaw pinned back and stopping him carrying the ball forward for them? Either way, unless there are any injuries (hopefully not) I'd start the same team as played against Madrid. Great to know that the options from the bench, Foden, Mahrez and Alvarez are all potential match winners.

I know it’s been ‘done to death’ but…. just listened to our captain’s interview.
He wants noise and positivity from the fans at the start of the game, just like Wembley.
So forget the booing , just do a Posnan ( he loved it ) when their poxy anthem is played.

Edit … oops sorry , just noticed a separate thread on this very thing.
