FYI anyone booking one way flights back from Turkey with Pegasus. If you change the currency from GBP to TRY an pay on revolut or similar, you will save about 10%! Just saved £100 simply by changing currency

Seems to be a few buses that do the run.
Some are about £23 and the one we got was the flixbus at about £33 which has more legroom and decent reclining seats.
Got ours from Serdika bus station right next to the main bus station, which is also very close to the train station.
On the the side of the bus it read Flixbus Kamil Koc.
Goes to Esenler bus station Istambul.

All international buses arrive in essenler from there it's a metro ride into town,I'm on the 10pm from bucharest arrives 8 in the morn

Of course electronic boarding passes are ok at mcr airport - unless you see Noah and his arc at the checkin desk

Anyone done a stop a Dalaman then straight onto Istanbul yet? Thats my route tomorrow and wondered how easy it is to connect. Do you need to pass customs then go back in etc? Cheers

Just got into Sofia to find the over night train to Istanbul is sold out for tonight and tomorrow , overnight buses are available for about £26
