Trip.Com £440 in total from Edinburgh to Istanbul airport direct
Then return Is Sabiha Gokcen Airport to hamburg Then hamburg to Edinburgh going from the 8th June to the 12th June

Given the price from city there (not surprised but still disappointed) I have just gone ahead and booked Edinburgh to Istanbul Friday to Monday. No point waiting for Sport options they won't be able to offer any cheaper and all the other flights are just going up in the meantime.

More than I had planned but £540 not the end of the world, at least don't have to mess about with connections.

Quite a few of us on that Friday flight

Been following the various threads for travel and ticket criteria for days. Planning my possible options. Should I go for 1 day, 2 days or even a week? Got to the point where I've decided no matter what it costs I am definitely not missing out on this one due to the possibility of the big T.

Then, just now...... a horrible feeling came over me. I remembered thinking on the way back from Zante last year that I need to renew my passport soon. Just been to get it from the draw.

Ran out of date in March 2023.

Fuck my life!!
Mate, you’ll be fine. If in doubt get one of those rapid deliveries. Think the website says 10 weeks but my mate got his with about 15 days a couple of weeks ago and that was a standard delivery.

Lost my passport. Booked in at scouse land on Monday for renewal not cheap but I get it in one weeek.

Good morning Manchester,
I ve been advising you for you stay at Istanbul. I hope i am helpful.
As ı told you, we have a refugee problem in Turkey. That's why i was telling that try to book your hotels near Besiktas, Kadıkoy etc, not in the center of Fatih (too many refugees there)

That incident happened yesterday in Turkey. Dont worry, but be informed. Be careful, the ones who will stay near Fatih,or Taksim (not much refugees in Taksim). Esp at night; you may get drunk etc. be careful.

Guys,
I dont want you to get worried. I ve lived 5 years in Amsterdam Centrum. Been all over Europe. Istanbul is the best city in the world, still. you will have great time.
I am an academican (finance), an expert for the court of law, and ex banker. So my job is analysing risks. I see things before it happens :)))
So,
- Anywhere in the Asian side ( 100% safe) (many of you booked there, i ve been mailing with them)
- Anywhere in Besiktas region (100% safe)
- Maslak region / business center (100% safe)
- ı ve been mailing with some fans. they booked at Florya region (100% safe) / a little out of city but great place

ı jjust have doubts about that Fatih region. i wanna share my doubts with you

cheers, any further advise, mail me...
