Champions League Final | Istanbul Travel - Good to hear routes etc.

Been following the various threads for travel and ticket criteria for days. Planning my possible options. Should I go for 1 day, 2 days or even a week? Got to the point where I've decided no matter what it costs I am definitely not missing out on this one due to the possibility of the big T.

Then, just now...... a horrible feeling came over me. I remembered thinking on the way back from Zante last year that I need to renew my passport soon. Just been to get it from the draw.

Ran out of date in March 2023.

Fuck my life!!

Given the price from city there (not surprised but still disappointed) I have just gone ahead and booked Edinburgh to Istanbul Friday to Monday. No point waiting for Sport options they won't be able to offer any cheaper and all the other flights are just going up in the meantime.

More than I had planned but £540 not the end of the world, at least don't have to mess about with connections.

Just booked flight to go on the Saturday at 9am arriving at 3pm. Home on the Sunday 1030 flight. £700, expensive but cheaper than club is offering. kick off is 10pm so hopefully no delays. Just need to sort a cheap hotel.

This may be a bit contentious
But I wonder why our owner SM had considered chartering planes to help
Fans with the cost?

The game ends at around 0000 without extra time right? I reckon you can stay awake an extra 10 hours :)
