Like everyone else as soon as I saw the line up, I knew we were in trouble.
Fernandinho has been the best player in the world in that position. He's been superb all season, but more than that he leads by example and is a natural captain. He will break up play and provide cover for the defence. Why he didn't play mystified me. If he wasn't fit then Rodri should've played.
The midfield was an absolute mess and was overrun by Chelsea. It had no structure and what was even more annoying was that he couldn't see that it wasn't working he didn't change it
The subs came too late and were the wrong ones.
I love Pep, but he needs an absolute rocket when he gets back. Sorry, but his ludicrous form of brain farting in big CL games (Chelsea, Liverpool, Lyon, Spurs, Monaco) has cost the club genuine attempts at winning the CL. To try a new formation in the final was shocking.
I'm honestly not sure what to think now. Next season we will do the same in the CL. The players must also start to think the same.
We are the best team in England, I honestly don't understand why you change your team for the 4th best one in England!
Finally, he absolutely needs to look at how we continually get picked off by deep lying teams who counter. He doesn't seem to learn and that's frustrating.
Ultimately we've still had a good season but rankles that it's Chelsea who've spoiled it for us.
