I think that’ll be better for us ... in that scenario they’d prepare the game with him at the heart of it and then if they have to change it half way through, it could be tricky for players on-field to manage that change in-game ... vs if he was out all together and they just planned without him ... so a half crooked Kante starting is better than no Kante in some weird twisted logic that only us football fans can think of :)
This.. niggling hamstring issues won’t necessarily keep a player from trying their luck on such an occasion but ultimately could be very costly for both themselves and their teammates game management and preparation. It’s a dangerous injury.. as you kind of know it’s coming and any sudden burst and it could go.. so you may end up playing within yourself but at the same time if you’re 85% fit for a starting spot in a CL final you will most likely take your chances and I think that is what will happen. If that is the case I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sitting on the floor signalling to the bench within half an hour. Players play their whole careers for these moments and if I were Kante I would gamble on getting through the game on 85%.
