Just hope we turn up, and want it more.
Did you bet on it (:Same.. I’m never optimistic.. but have been with CL all season. When we were on for the quad predicted the treble and going out to Chelsea in the semis of the FA cup.. 1 more game.. hope I was right!
Worst thing that happens after tomorrow night is that we’re Premier League Champions and have lost a game of football.Quite calm about the game tomorrow, which is surprising for an eternal pessimist like me. Not sure if that’s a good thing or not, tbh. The only thing causing me great anxiety is the fact that I don’t even know where I’ll be watching it yet. The wifi at the place we’re staying is unbelievably shit which has ruled out the option of streaming it. Now tasked with the job of finding a pub in the middle of fucking nowhere that is showing the game, less than 24 hours before kick off. Argh.
Your mum will be proud tomorrow, palPep and the players have done their best to give me confidence. He has rested players where needed, given time to those that needed and is talking so calmly about the game.
Whatever happens you can be sure he will have been so so thorough in preparation and given the players the calm nurturing influence that they need to go and win the game.
I've spent the day taking my Mum to have chemo so have barely given a thought to the game until this evening. She took me to Maine Road for the first time and in all honesty is unlikely to be here in 12 months time. It really would mean so much to me for us to win it while she is still around to see it.
I know a lot of blues have loved ones missing who would just not believe the rise our club has been on over the past 13 years. If we can win it tomorrow it would be well deserved and I hope lady luck is on our side.
I have felt for a long time like City winning it this year was written in the stars. But even as I write that I remain hugely nervous!
Whilst there are more important things than football, for me football has been a part of those things too.
