Had an interesting evening in Porto, ate and had a good chat to some City fans near the town hall (it was Baltic btw) then decided to have a nightcap in an Italian / Indian (WTF) right opposite my Airbnb digs. There was a group of 8 Chelsea fans having a Ruby and they really gave me daggers when I walked in with my Mercer Jacket on but I had a good chat to them and they’ve all got lots of time for City because “We were here when we were 5hit” and they all said they think we’ll win

They insisted on buying me three or four beers which the f*****g waiter then charged me for BUT I had a great evening with this group of lads and (despite the accent) I came away thinking that we are very alike.... Both hated for the money but both have been through some very challenging times in our past

I could easily have decided against coming here because of the cost but already, the singing on the 15:10 EasyJet flight over and the banter with the Chavs has made me feel pretty blessed to be a Blue tonight
