That's not the point though really. It's one thing knowing the way we are likely to play, it's a completely different thing having the chance to practise against it.Tuchel knows what 11 we will play so to say Pep didn't want to give him a sniff of our tactics is wrong. Today every minute of every match is available to everyone to analyse
That's right but they actually didn't play the exact 11 we played in midweek which would have given them an advantage. Pep nearly pulled it off with that rearrranged team yesterday but Chelsea were just that little bit stronger . He over tweaked it too much imo. He could have fielded a much stronger side without giving too much away and we would have had at least a draw , or probably a win.Tuchel knows what 11 we will play so to say Pep didn't want to give him a sniff of our tactics is wrong. I don’t think we’d ever be considered underdogs and even if we were it wouldn’t affect the players. Also Chelsea aren’t stupid enough to be lulled in, they’ll know that the games are differentMasterstroke by Pep.
Lulling them in and helping to remove our favourite (and added pressure) tag.We may even start the game as underdogs! lol
Probably....but,while a tad tongue in cheek, many of their fans, and quite a few pundits, haven't recognised that.I don’t think we’d ever be considered underdogs and even if we were it wouldn’t affect the players. That can happen. I think we don't lose any league games ( possibly win 2 draw 1) between now and the final and that will be the form that dictates whether we are underdogs or not.Masterstroke by Pep.

If he wanted them to show him how good they're, then maybe he should have stuck to the same formation. What people need to realise is Pep needs this so called 'B Team' to show fight. He wants them to find form, and give him something to think about. But none of them are making a case. So it's easier for him to know what his best XI is. It could become an issue for selection in the final,, I only say that because, both of our strikers are out of form. And to play a low block deep as Chelsea's, it could well be that Pep is hoping for one of Jesus or Aguero to find form so he can maybe think of starting either.
Our false 9 system works great, and we don't need to tweak it too much. But also, it varies opposition to opposition. All our opponents in knockouts so far haven't really parked the bus. Except for PSG for a bit, but even they were dominant and aggressive for 45 mins.
Lots of time still before the final, but you can't blame him for these lineups and changes. And he is not naive, neither is Tuchel. Both know how tough a battle it will be in the final.
