UK media are shit scared of slagging off Liverpool supporters in these situations because they will be immediately accused by them of being disrespectful to the 97.

We were just a bit too gung ho against Madrid in both games. We are much the better side and at 1-0 up over there. We really didn’t need to go chasing another. Game management like we did against Villa would have done the job. Few bits of cramp, winning free kicks etc. Think we just got a bit carried away and it cost us. Hopefully another Lesson learned.
